Our birth story 🤍

At my 37 week appointment, everything changed. After weeks of contractions every 2 minutes and severe pain from my previous C-section incision, my doctor made the decision to schedule me to Labor & Delivery for a C-section the next day.

The moment we heard his first cry was everything we’d been waiting for. But our joy quickly turned into worry when Leeon began having trouble breathing. Within moments of his birth, he was taken to the NICU for specialized care.

Our hospital stay quickly became a routine of going back and forth between my room and the NICU, spending every moment we could by his side. It was exhausting, emotional, and heartbreaking, but we knew our little fighter was exactly where he needed to be.

Nothing prepares you for watching your newborn be wheeled away when all you want to do is hold him. And nothing prepares you for leaving the hospital without your baby, walking out with an empty car seat while a piece of your heart stays behind.

The highs, the heartbreak, the fear, the faith, and the incredible strength of our little miracle. I’m so grateful for the doctors, nurses, and everyone who helped bring our sweet boy safely into this world.

Delayed post* So many heartbreaks, tears, and new beginnings. Multiple IVF cycles, 4 embryo transfers, canceled cycles, loss of our 3 👼🏿 , hysteroscopies, a C-section revision, laparoscopy, cysts removed, fluid in lining. I know many women have walked even harder paths, but this is mine.

We paused our dream wedding to afford IVF treatments. We rearranged our entire lives around doctor appointments. Every set back broke me in ways I can’t explain but I gave it all to God.

After years of praying, healing, and starting over… our miracle finally said YES!! God is so good!

To the woman still waiting: I see your fight. I feel your heartbreak. Please keep believing. 🤍
