Still at a loss for words 👑🤍

If you had told me a year ago that I would be competing in my very first pageant, I never would have believed you. Walking into Miss Maryland Teen Volunteer, I had no idea what to expect, but I’m leaving with a heart so full and memories I’ll cherish forever.

I’m incredibly honored to have been named 1st Runner-Up to Miss Maryland Teen Volunteer, while also receiving the Bernard Jay Allen Overall Top Talent Award, along with the Preliminary Talent Award and Preliminary Fitness Award.

Maddie, thank you for being the big sister I never had. From the moment I decided to compete, you believed in me before I even believed in myself. Thank you for every piece of advice, every pep talk, every laugh, and for being by my side through everything. I couldn’t imagine experiencing this week without you. Watching you shine on stage reminded me exactly why I’ve looked up to you for so many years. I love you endlessly, and I am so grateful for you.

To my sweet teen queens, thank you for every laugh shared backstage, every reassuring hug, and every little moment in between that turned into a memory I’ll always hold close. I’m so deeply grateful for the friendships I was lucky enough to find this week, and for the way I was welcomed with such warmth, kindness, and open arms from the very beginning.

I walked into this week hoping to grow, learn, and challenge myself, and I’m leaving with so much more than I ever imagined. The friendships, memories, and lessons I gained are something I’ll carry with me forever. I truly won the experience. Thank you, Miss Maryland Teen Volunteer, for a week I’ll never forget. 👑🩷 by @kaelinestepp
