Still jet lagged, but spring break only comes once a year! Grateful for these built-in best friends — watching them grow and grow closer is the greatest gift.

What does it take to build this family?

As a Mom of 3 juggling family, work, and travel, I often hear the question, “How do you do it all?” Well, don’t let social media fool you into believing I’ve got it all figured it out. I’m certainly still learning... BUT, I have learned a few things along the way.

“A mother is the center of the family. When she is not home, even for a day or two, the family suffers.” - Mother Moon, “Mother of Peace”

I have a fantastic husband and village that support my family while I’m away, but nothing changes the fact that I’m still Mom. Being Mom means that, no matter where I am, I’m the heartbeat of the family. And being away means my family has missed out on the love that only I can give.

Now when I return from a trip, no matter how tired I may be, I find I can always muster up enough energy to soak in my family (who I’ve missed buckets-full!) and let them soak me in.

Just a few minutes of full presence and intention can make all the difference bringing joy and peace to my home. 💖✨

What happens when we recognize that we all share the same Parent, Our Creator?
We become brothers and sisters.

It’s not just about respecting our differences, but embracing them as part of our global family.
I love what is different from me because it is a reflection of my Heavenly Parent.
I may not understand everything about you, nor you me, but when I honor the shared divinity between us my appreciation for all people changes.

How can we heal the divides in our world?
By recognizing we are a family.
We may have different skin colors, heritages, beliefs and cultures.
But we share the same Heavenly Parent. by @kaeljune

Gratitude is an art form.
It takes practice and consistency, but it also yields the legacy of joy.

In gratitude we can acknowledge the things we still need to work on, while keeping in mind the masterpiece that is our life.

This was Wednesday.
It was a day I didn’t have any childcare and I had to get creative about taking care of my kids and still getting my work done. If you’re a work from home mom you know what I mean and how tough it is!

We went out to lunch and my youngest started feeling some big angry feelings. We’ve been working on this with him and it’s not always easy. But we’ve developed some coping strategies along the way.

In the moment I’m having serious anxiety because dealing with big feelings in a restaurant is less than ideal. And I’m acutely aware of all the other people eating nearby. But what do my girls do? They immediately jump into action and make a “quiet space” (one of our coping strategies) for their little brother.

I almost cried.

Not only did they see their brother, understand he was having a hard time and support him in his moment of need, but they did it with smiles and giggles. No shame, no frustration, no judgement. Just love.

The world could learn so much from these kids.

Parenting can bring out the best and worst in you. When my stress gets the better of me I try to hold on too tightly and the worst of me comes out. The truth is, I am my best parent when I listen to the big ideas of my children and help them in making their dreams come true.
Tonight my oldest daughter said to me, “this is like my dream come true.”

After a long trip I always come home with the clearest picture of the beauty of my life.

From the simplicity of love in and around my home to the significance of the causes I am able to pursue and the people my life continues to cross paths with.

Some days it can feel like it’s impossible to manage, but today it feels like an overwhelming blessing.
