God morgon 🇸🇪 Today is the National Day of Sweden, and to celebrate, we teamed up with @kaffe_are in NYC. Head over to their 275 Greenwich location IMMEDIATELY to buy a sweet treat or a coffee and you just might be able to snag one of ten ~free~ copies of award-winning Swedish author Ia Genberg’s novels THE DETAILS and SMALL COMFORT, both translated from Swedish by Kira Josefsson and both recognized by @thebookerprizes.

THE DETAILS, Genberg’s English-language debut, is an intoxicating novella about a feverish woman reflecting about four key relationships that shaped her past, shortlisted for the International Booker Prize in 2024.

SMALL COMFORT, her latest, is five stories about small talk and big lies—or a story about five people—longlisted for the International Booker Prize in 2026. It doesn’t officially publish until June 30th, so you’d be getting an exclusive early look.

At HarperVia we personally recommend the cardamom buns, or kardemummabullar, as the ideal reading snack. by @kaffe_are
