The #manga production break definitely helped some. Each time back I approach with a clearer head and a more mature eye. Firing #UnrealEngine back up, adding some extra polish! Just in time for both shows come this Thursday and Friday @events_by_homegrown_nyc @trends.lic @coexistgaming !

Framework is all green, cooks proper, which means all new Eagen additions will be OFFICIAL [until first public test unlock 🔓]‼️😎🙏🏽✒️🥋⚔️🎮

Also began implementing the new artwork! Finding some better ways for the art bits to get rendered better by using trilinear filtering rather than nearest neighbor pixels.

WRECKING CREW!

Now this was fun! A good amount of work But a nice warm-up exercise for what's to come throughout this upcoming week now that I've gone back into passive manga development mental mode .

I'm getting back into the proper ink work and stuck to only two grey values of 50% and 25% in order to keep the tools simple, minimalistic, and forces me to put more manual detail rather than depending on tones. Which is exactly what I wanted to do, I think.

These are essentially the tone blocks to be used as well for the pages. Now that all three within the cast are stuck within my brain on how to draw them hundreds of times in repetition, going back to the pages feels much more freeing. Feels like I understand each one as an individual that much more.

Hopefully I can remember to stick to these rules in order to speed up the page development process.

3-point perspective practice as the overnight hours roll by. Created a frame with Sylvia digitally at home desk, but wanted some analog practice to lock in the techniques more habitually while away.

THIS is the style I've always loved and how I film as well handheld. 5-20mm fisheye lens look, Emmanuel Lubezki cinematography feel that I abuse with the Zeiss glass. But how to express it in my most pure nature.

FINALLY getting the workflow and it's fun as hell so far!

Returning to the core design phase of Legendary Heroes. Finally getting around to more complete layouts for the core rogues gallery.

Leaning more into more my core influences here. From Golgo 13, Yie-Yar Kung Fu, popular modern martial artists like @youlovekimmie_ , Tsui Hark's "The Blade" (now on @criterioncollection Blu-ray 📀) and of course working the faces at a more mature level. Remembering how Saito designed but also of equal measure the stunning work of Yoshiaki Kawajiri.

It's been a humbling experience learning to break my own work down yet AGAIN and reconstruct to a better repeatable process that I can fully both control as well as understand.
