I think my number one goal this year (aside from keeping away sucka ass energy) is to move with intention. In art, in cooking, in relationships, in how I show up in the world and for the people in it. I want to do things purposefully and methodically, with care, patience, and attention to detail. To move slowly. To move carefully.

We’re all in such a rush to get somewhere, chasing the next big moment, that we miss the quiet sweetness of the mundane. But life isn’t only found in the big waves, it’s happening in between them, in the pause, in the lull, in the breath you take before moving on.

It’s there while you’re grocery shopping, standing in line, choosing what to cook for dinner. It’s there when you’re sitting at the table with the people you love, sharing food, sharing silence. It lives in the inconvenience and the frustration, in the moments that test your patience and ask you to stay present anyway.

It’s all happening every second. Even when nothing feels special. Let’s learn to notice it, to honor it, and to find the beauty in all of it, even when it isn’t exciting or exactly glamorous. by @kai.maycee
