Queenslander Kai Colless dominated during the 2026 AASP season 💪🏼

@goldcoastparasurfer Kai took home first place in the Prone Mens division at the US Open, scoring two 10-point rides across the Final and Semifinal 💥

Stoked to finish 1st at the US Open and to lock up the 2026 AASP World Championship. Really big thank you to everyone who volunteers and makes these events possible. Well done to all surfers in the Prone division everyone was ripping like always. And a big congrats to all the other World Champions. After a rare spinal condition left Kai classified as a paraplegic at 15, he committed himself to intensive rehabilitation and found his way back to competition through the ocean. Just months after leaving hospital, he entered his first international para surfing competition - and won.

This SIP Week, Kai is helping us raise awareness and funds for spinal cord injury research.
