Over a decade of schooling, 13 years of ups and downs. 1 year ago I was so excited to graduate, leave school forever all I had ever wanted for those 13 years was to graduate, and get out of school for good. Now while I walked across the stage and looked out to the rows of faces that I became familiar with this last year, a tear rolls down my face. All of the sudden, the last thing I want is to leave school, because that means that all of these incredible people I have met this last year go with it. Seeing friend’s frantically rush by in the hall, chatting with friends at smoke pit at break, and sometimes during class, all have become things that I cherish and don’t want to leave forever. With this journey coming to end my next journey begins, thank you to everyone who made this year special, those moving on with me and those I have to leave behind. What a journey, 5 months from sketching my design, creating 6 pattern and sample drafts, before finishing my suit in a 12 oz crossahatch indigo denim. This is Kai ! Kai had his grad walk yesterday!
