Before @kaialce commanded dance floors, he worked the lights at Detroit’s legendary Music Institute, watching a musical revolution take shape.

That education still comes through in his sets, productions, and NDATL Muzik imprint. With New York roots, Detroit schooling, and Atlanta soul, Kai connects the past, present, and future of house music.

Houston, it’s your turn. On Saturday, October 24, Kai Alcé joins us for Exposure at Henke & Pillot, with support from resident DJs @djnimbus and @jsalaammusic

PRE-ORDER ALERT‼️
Rafa Santos — Our Journey
(KAI ALCÉ Remix)
MATE027

Our Journey is the new EP by Rafa Santos. The title track is one of those pieces you feel before you understand it. A gritty sax, carried by magical chords, slips beneath the skin like a gentle touch.✨

MATE Records welcomes Kai Alcé, an artist who has inspired the label since its early days and a central figure behind NDATL. His uncompromising approach to deep house has, over the years, helped shape a distinctive musical identity and a community of its own. ✊🏾

For his remix, Kai takes Our Journey somewhere deeper, bringing drive, warmth and that particular sensitivity that defines his work. A meeting of two different visions, connected by instinct, soul and a shared respect for the deeper side of the music.💎

Some records are made to be played.
Others are made to be felt🧡

Soul Quest Records opens a new chapter with Re:Quest Vol.1, the first instalment in a new remix series dedicated to revisiting, reimagining, and breathing fresh life into music from the label’s growing back catalogue. True to Soul Quest’s ethos of deep, soulful, and jazz-tinged sounds, Re:Quest brings together four new interpretations from a diverse cast of producers, each offering their own perspective while retaining the spirit of the original recordings.
