POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Out of Focus

Artist Statement (March 2026):

This film was inspired by how I was feeling a few weeks ago. I was going through a lot mentally, and it felt like I had no time to be sad because I had so many things to do with school work, organizations, etc. It felt like I had no time to process what I was going through emotionally because time waits for nobody, and the workload was overbearing. I couldn’t focus on my priorities because I dwelt, wallowed, and didn’t make the time to prioritize myself mentally. Instead, I bottled up my emotions and tried to grind through the pain.

This film is supposed to experiment with that feeling of overstimulation through sound and visuals. With it, I would like to showcase how being overstimulated can feel. I hope that you all are slowing down and giving yourself and your peers grace.

UNTITLED

😁🪮🤎

I hope you guys enjoyed that video and got my message at the end! It’s really crazy how perception works because I honestly felt amazing today. If you take anything away from this post, I hope it is to love yourself and remember your worth! ☝️ by @kaiaseye

NOTHING

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted. This summer hasn’t been going as expected. I found myself bed rotting a lot and letting my depression get the best of me. It’s been a struggle to find positivity nowadays as I’ve been feeling quite hopeless but I know I’m capable. If you get anything out of this post I hope it is to check on a loved one and remember that you’re loved too! I’m trying my best to get back on my feet and I’m going to get this page active again soon but I’m taking it slow. Mental health matters so take care of yours as I try to do the same! 😊☝️ by @kaiaseye

THE DAY AFTER (Snippet)

🕊️💐🤍

I wrote this poem while mourning the recent loss of my grandmother. This one is probably one of my favorites. My first time speaking in front of an audience was for her. I’m glad I could connect with my family and friends through my art. That’s my favorite part about doing this. The full piece will be on my Substack which can be found in my highlights and in the link in my bio. by @kaiaseye

Here’s some clips from my friend Milane’s (@weluvvv_mimi ) short film project. I think my acting is wayyyy better in this one and I helped direct slides 1 & 3! There’s no better feeling then helping a vision come to life. I love doing this and can’t wait to pursue it as a career!!!
