Indoor Rowing World Record 30’ RP3 🚣Here is the full hydration and fueling breakdown for today.7amMuesli for breakfast with a full Kaiju in 700ml of water, and coffee.Then two Kaiju electrolyte sticks in the bottle for the morning aerobic session, 80 mins (16k) in the pair with Jake. Needed to get concentration around 1100mg per litre, the upper end of the optimal range. So two sticks in my 1.2L bottle is perfect, or 1 stick in 600ml standard Kaiju bottle.10amPost session, a big bowl of overnight oats, scrambled eggs, bagel and beans.At this point I decided I was going to go for the RP3 WR, as the session was meant to be on the C2 but I’ve got a bit more flexibility at the moment.11amAround 60-90 mins before I had two double espressos to get me most of the way to the 300mg+ of caffeine mark, that 3mg/kg is where you get the performance benefits. To get over 300mg, and to keep hydrating, I had a Kaiju Kick just over an hour before. Kick is an extra 80mg of caffeine per stick but it also has the OSMO electrolytes formula from Kaiju. Kick was what tipped me over the 300mg mark.Then I sipped Kaiju for another hour, the whole point of the electrolytes all day on this kind of day is to make sure my blood volume is maxed out so my heart doesn’t have to work as hard, making it feel as easy as possible! Then i’ve been testing our next product, carb and fructose gel at a 1:0.8 ratio, I had 45g of carbs 60 mins before.And another 60g of carbs 10 mins before.
