is everything I envisioned!
When I see vintage photos of the old Hawaiʻi + Hawaiians it gives me chills but at the same time is so gravitating. It makes me wonder what the story is behind the photos and what life was like at those times, I imagine it being so much more simpler than life now.

Even though we are Hapa (mixed/not full or pure Hawaiian) it’s apart of our genes and culture everyday!

Sometimes or I should say a lot of times my brain goes nonstop on creative concepts and pulls pieces together to make it come to life.
When I was planning ʻOhi “Paniolo Era” party I knew we need Palaka immediately I spent some time looking all over until I came across @keahiko from Oahu she’s amazing and very sweet! Leading up to ʻOhi party I also had this vision of us in palaka in a sugar cane field with the same old Hawaiʻi vibe that are captured in photographs. As soon as I was able to pull the pieces together I reached out to Kaylan @kaaylsphotography .I knew 1000% I wanted to book him for this & he truly brought my vision to life!

This year’s Māmā’s Day hits different.

Realizing it’s been 10 years of being a mom really had me sitting back thinking for a second 😭

10 years ago I was just a 15 year old girl trying to navigate all aspects of my life at once and honestly just trying to figure myself out during those years too. I don’t think I was even fully thinking that far into the future yet.

And now here I am a whole decade later handling life with Kekoa and our 3 girls through every change, every season, and every version of motherhood.

Motherhood is honestly so crazy because it’s constantly evolving. Every season of it changes you. Some seasons were really hard, some life changing… but all of it shaped me into who I am today.

We definitely don’t have parenting all figured out but we’re trying our best through every version of it. 🤍

Last party dump— FINDING KUAPOʻI

If you didn’t see my story a while back on planning this party….. KUAPOʻI in Hawaiian means turtle shell, we chose it because it resembles the safety and protection that it provides (ʻanakē @rachelwouldgo named her) + she loved watching Finding Nemo and Finding Dory from months old (the only thing that’ll keep her calm). Given those reasons I HAD to do a Squirt focused theme so here’s a full look at the end results 👀

Had so much FUN + STRESS, designing, planning and DIY’n this party from scratch but so thankful for everyone’s talents to make it become real —
