A sophomore guard, Kailee Helwig has made a strong impact this season despite a delayed start. At 5’8”, she’s averaging 16.6 points per game along with 4.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and an impressive 4.3 steals per contest. On top of her production, she’s a very good shooter who stretches the floor and forces defenses to stay honest.Helwig missed the first seven games of the basketball season due to a soccer injury suffered during postseason play, but since returning, she hasn’t skipped a beat. She plays with confidence, brings nonstop energy, and applies constant pressure defensively. Her shooting, combined with her activity on both ends, makes her a tough matchup, and for a sophomore to have this level of impact after time away says a lot about her toughness and feel for the game by @kaileehelwig
