BEST. RACE. EVER. 🏃‍♀️

13.1 miles. 2 hours and 25 minutes. Second half marathon. Ran alone. Ran internationally into Canada. Didn’t listen to music until mile 6. Experienced the world’s only official international mile under water.

I won this race bib back in July through an Instagram giveaway. I was hoping this race would be everything and more. It was!! 🥹🤗

The nails understood the assignment 💅🏼💚 (thanks to my girl @jem_esthetics1 who never misses)

I can’t contain my excitement to run the @freepmarathon Detroit International Half Marathon this weekend! I won this race bib a couple months back after entering a giveaway on Instagram. The likelihood that I’d win it was low. This race sells out within a week of opening, and the energy is electric. Thousands of runners will race through Detroit and over the Ambassador Bridge into Canada and back, with a mile underwater.

Testing new transitions before Detroit next weekend… thoughts?! 🏃‍♀️

This was my first time running a trail, and I was NOT prepared. There are little to no elements when running on the road, and this had me way outside of my comfort zone. It felt like middle school XC all over again. The goal was to challenge my mobility and ankle strength, and I’m proud of how it went!

Every year @asburywoodserie holds an “Into the Woods” Trail Series with a 4 miler, 5 miler, and 6 miler. Look out for their 4 miler in February 2027. 🤩 by @kailey_p_
