An end to something I’ll never forget (long caption warning ⚠️)

This season has been one for the books. I have made leaps and bounds from last season and know I still have more to give. Although I didn’t get a school record I finished the season with a 18:56 at NXR, and 37th at State in 4A. Sub 19:00!!! I know that I have more to give but this season has taught me more than just how to move my legs faster than last year. It’s taught me to love myself again, love the sport, and cherish the amazing people that have crossed my path. I’ve learned to accept that not every race will be perfect or go exactly to plan, but every race has meaning.

But to the sport that started everything for me. I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t decide to start this sport. This program has made me feel so loved and I’ve met some of my best friends because of it. I hope I left an imprint on Yelm and if I did It wouldn’t have been the same without this program and culture that has built around it. If I was gonna say one thing to all the freshman, just do it. I will never regret my decision to go through this program and it will forever be a part of my heart. Thank you to everyone that made these 4 years so special. Peace out Yelm XC 🫶🏻

I’m so thankful for this year. I have made irreplaceable bonds and made new friends. It has been a challenge medical wise but we have overcome. I am so excited to make new goals and grow through them. I couldn’t have asked for better people to spend my year with.

That’s a wrap for 2024 XC season. What a year. There has been so many challenges and yet they have been overcome. I didn’t achieve what I wanted from myself this season but that’s what offseason is for. I’m so thankful for such a wonderful team to share a memorable season with and I couldn’t ask for anything more. Now onto track. by @kailey_slevin
