Dad, I don’t know how to do life without you. It feels like a piece of me is missing, & nothing will ever fill it. It truly feels like there is so much more life I have to live without you. I wasn’t ready for a world without your love, your hugs, your laugh, & your crazy stories & sense of humor.

Thank you for the unforgettable magical life. For being mine — my best friend, my safe place, my rock, my role model, my #1 supporter through it all. Life wasn’t easy for you, but you still found the good in it, the beauty in it. You always had a smile on your face & a joke ready. I know you didn’t want to leave, but I hope you’ve found peace — free from pain, with all your worries gone.

I picture you at the beach with your crew, surfing, riding your dirt bike, skateboarding, flying your massive kites, & lighting all the fireworks you want, fixing cars, & building even more of your crazy inventions. While you wait for us to meet you up there. I hope you are just being the kid you always were at heart, which is what made you the most perfect dad. I am truly the luckiest girl in the world.

I can’t wait for the day I’m back in your arms. I’ll always be your little girl. I love you to the moon & back, times infinity. I love you forever.
