take a break from doomscrolling & let’s go for a ride 🚲🕊️

i’m lucky enough to have a stunning bike path down the road from me that winds through the woods & local farms

🌾🦌🌱🚜🐄🌳

heres to more intentional movement (hopefully with furry friends involved)

some things that have helped me stay consistent:
- gummy clusters in my pocket (aka fuel)
- my merino tee from @woolxwool that doesn’t get gross no matter how much i sweat in it
- a frozen bandana on very hot days
- a good audiobook to distract me when i need it

when I talk to people and they find out I travel a lot, and more often than not travel solo, they love to ask me about the times when ive felt unsafe

but the answer they usually dont expect from me is that its hard for me to recall moments like that, instead when I look back on my travels im reminded of moments of kindness

moments where people extended a helping hand to make sure I was going to right way,
shared their culture with me,
looked out for me when they didnt need to,
shared their food with me & showed me how to eat it,
communicated with me across language barriers,
danced with me,
taught me something knew,
played a game with me,

and so many moments of laughter & joy 💌

the more you travel the more you realize that humans are way more similar than we are different, and we are inherently GOOD 🫂

and if people are trying to convince you otherwise, instead wonder why? what purpose does that serve?

a new york minute 🍎

nyc will always be one of my favorite cities, and one of my favorite things about it is that no matter how many times you’ve been there you can always find something new to do

highlights of my visit:
🥟 eating my way around chinatown
📚 saw the ny public library reading room (and exhibits)
👻 visited the iconic ghostbusters firehouse hq
🎺 live jazz at @nyc_close_up
🚠 rode the roosevelt island tramway to see the skyline
🎭 went to free friday’s at the morgan library & museum
🪩 danced the night away at @madradionyc
☕️ coffee & a book from @dramabookshop
🏙️ the view from brooklyn bridge park
🎤 checked out the comedy show at the black cat les
🐦 seeing the giant pigeon on the highline

hostels don’t get much love in the states, but for this trip i stayed at @hiusa and really enjoyed it (especially their pub quiz night, it was a great way to meet people) 💌

go out and play in it 🎿

this is my second @insta360 camera and I can confidently say im obsessed with them.

📽️ their new x5 camera can shoot in 8k and is the perfect all in once camera for literally any adventure you could go on

and as someone who’s usually solo traveling, living out of a backpack, and always up to something - i cant think of a better addition to my travel bag 👌🏼
