Better late than never, watch @thefallguymovie now! Now in China theatres!

A love letter to stunts, an ensemble of the best of the best, and story for all to enjoy. Not only does this meta-story shine light to a story of Colt Seavers, but The Fall Guy unveils the curtains behind the stuntmen who shape the action in every movie. Words cannot describe how monumental this movie impacted me as an industry professional and a storyteller. I wish this film inspires others just as it has for me.

Thank you @airaware1 for being our fearless leader and Stunt Designer. No matter the field, one could learn from how you ensure world class stunts are executed safely, and efficiently while relating to the hero’s journey.

Thank you Jojo for the knowledge of emphasizing the importance of one’s foundation to push the realism within each character.

Thank you Shifu @sunnysun_sunnysun for the opportunity, insight, and wisdom of a lifetime. You’ve always pushed me to shift my approach and to see every situation from a different perspective. Not only as a professional, but as one who learns more of one’s humanity through the art of filmmaking. 不按套路出牌

Lastly, I am thankful for all the friends from all over the world and wish to cross paths with everyone in the future. The memories are forever cherished and I can’t wait to catch up.

- Remember, there’s always Goros @legendofmicah @justdavechea @yasushi_asaya

🍂 Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

Grateful for the journey and the incredible people who've made it special. I finally had the chance to watch the final episode, and I wanted to give a heartfelt thank you to Jane Wu @janewushu and Sunny Sun @sunnysun_sunnysun for bringing me on Blue Eye Samurai—an endeavor close to my heart that persevered amidst the challenges of COVID.

Navigating global challenges required innovative solutions. The collaboration between our animation team and the stunt team in China gave rise to a unique workflow that breaks new ground, and offers lessons to carry forward into the future.

📈 Where it all began - a line graph portraying the emotional arcs of our characters. The genesis was the pivotal Mizu vs. Taigen and Tengu Teachers fight. Within the seemingly simple crossing of three lines lies the intricate emotional drama between Mizu, Taigen, and the societal representation embodied by Elder Domo.

Before choreographing the action sequences, we delved deep into the emotional landscapes of our characters. The determination of Mizu, the unwavering resolve of Taigen, and the judgment of the Tengu Teachers—all meticulously plotted on this graph, guiding us through the peaks and valleys of their unfolding tale.

🎥 This roadmap was crucial for aligning our vision before executing it with the China team across time zones. The use of live-action previz enhanced and added weight to the action and drama of Mizu and Taigen within the animated world. The results were spectacular, and we continued to utilize this workflow across the rest of the fights this season.

🔥 I hope the world is enjoying this vision of Blue Eye Samurai as much as the team enjoyed the process. Let’s go Mizu!!! 🌊

🙏 Additionally, I’d like to thank Shahaub Roudbari @shahaub for sharing his perspective on the vision we all were chasing. It’s always a blast bouncing off ideas with you brother.

Lastly, a big shoutout to the incredible Chinese team! Thank you for bringing the vision to life during the pre-viz action step. Missing all these brothers and eagerly anticipating our reunion. 🙌

MSC 03: Kaiser vs Sky. Gun and sword vs gun and sword is hard. Especially when there’s a sheathe in your other hand. Shot mostly with some vintage canon fds which are a nice counter to the sharpness of digital sensors.
