“The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58‬:‭11‬. The mission trip to Puerto Rico was honestly one of the most powerful and eye-opening experiences I’ve had. It really showed me what it looks like to live out my faith instead of just talking about it. Whether we were doing construction at Primera Iglesia Bautista de Leguísamo and helping build onto something bigger than ourselves, or going out and sharing our testimonies with people in the community, there was always an opportunity to serve.
What stood out to me the most wasn’t just the work we were doing, but the joy that came from doing it for God. It didn’t feel forced or stressful it felt meaningful. Being surrounded by such an encouraging church family made the whole experience even more special, and it’s something I’ll carry with me long after the trip. One of the biggest things I learned was the importance of slowing down. In our everyday lives, everything is so fast paced, and we rarely take time to just be still. But during this trip, in those quiet and still moments, I felt closer to God than I usually do. It made me realize that stillness isn’t empty it’s actually where God meets us. I’m so thankful for this experience and for the people I got to share it with. This trip didn’t just impact Puerto Rico it changed me, and I’m excited to see how God continues to work in my life and through me moving forward. by @kait.lynroy
