18 months ago I started my program with @emilynfit & @metabolicmakeoveracademy with the sole purpose of losing weight and wanting to feel better about myself. 22 lbs later, I learned that self-love is as complicated and as easy as it sounds.
1️⃣It’s striking the balance of discipline vs perfectionism, resilience vs toxic grit, rest & recovery vs making excuses.
2️⃣It’s loving yourself enough to play the long game and trusting the process even when it feels like there’s 0 momentum
3️⃣It’s making mistakes over and over again, but always trying again

I repaired my relationship with food and my body image, and changed the criteria by which I measured my worth. And today I’m lifting stronger and running faster than ever before (injury free!! IYKYK🥲) I’ll never be able to truly put into words how much my life has changed for the better. But I do know this:

Beauty and strength do not have to come at the expense of the other. Love yas 🫶🏽 by @kaitarcede
