Welcome newest company dancer Kaitlin Roemer!

Kaitlin began dancing in her hometown of Highland, Michigan at MMDCo. Her love of ballet led her to Ballet Detroit at the Detroit Opera House before pursuing pre-professional training at Atlanta Ballet Center for Dance Education. Following two years in Atlanta Ballet 2, she has spent the last two seasons as a Company Dancer at Atlanta Ballet! Kaitlin is most looking forward to this upcoming season’s captivating programming and to being inspired by the dancers and artistic staff at Richmond Ballet! Fun fact - Kaitlin is a cat mom to her beloved fur baby named Tchaikovsky!

Kaitlin - we are delighted to have you join the company! We are so looking forward to the artistry and talent that you will bring to Richmond.

Thank you Atlanta, for the past 6 years…you’ve become my second home. You have given my life so much vibrancy from the memories I’ve gained, the opportunities for growth I’ve received, the career path I’ve traveled at Atlanta Ballet, and the unbreakable friendships (and my love- @patrick.0326 🤍) that will be forevermore. <33

Ida Broughton says, “Life is like a book. Some chapters are sad, some are happy & some are exciting, but if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter has in store for you”

With that, I am delighted to share that I will be joining @richmondballet as a Company Member for the 24/25 season! I am inspired by the art created within this company, and I am so appreciative for the chance to share in Ma Cong’s vision and dance under his leadership. I am feeling curious and excited about this new journey. I am so thankful for it and can’t wait to begin. 🤍
