A lamb named Baby 👶👶 This big skinny lamb was the center and namesake of my mfa show “Late Afternoon in the Garden with a Dagger and Ewe” 🗡️🐑 She lays at 41” x 24” x 14”, the skinny legend of @uiowaceramics (I just decided)// The Lamb now rests in the permanent (🌱🌷garden🌻🍂🍂) collection of master sipper pincher @benjupchurch and remains to be probably the best thing I’ve ever made. I peaked and will spend the rest of my life chasing that high. I’m pretending that we aren’t back in the butthole of summer after two unseasonably cool days 🍃🍂 by staring at these photos of “Big Pumpkin”, one of the four large pieces I made for my MFA show “Late Afternoon in the Garden With a Dagger and Ewe.” I was tempted to name this “Big Pumpkin 1” but that sounds like a threat and idk if the world is really ready for more ceramic pumpkins that are this large. #ceramic #contemporaryceramics #ceramicssculpture 📸 photo by @sammie.correa

As you can see I am buff. Here is a photo of me single-handedly moving the big pumpkin to its final resting place!

I actually did nothing and had help from two techs @benjupchurch @billycho0001 with very sick pythons 💪💪. @uiowaceramics I really hope this is still there. If anything it’s an extremely helpful landmark for food deliveries… please tell admin I say you’re welcome! (Also if it was already, or will be moved please lie to me and say it’s still there. I’m on mountain time now so how would I know the truth 💁‍♀️). 📸 photo by @kja_photo taken in University of Iowa, Visual Arts Building by @kaitlinsmrcina

Have you been sitting on your couch (or toilet) thinking to yourself, “I really need a tulip right now”? Well you’re in luck! I’m having a studio sale ahead of moving out to Montana! Tulips 🌷, fish 🐟, pumpkins 🎃, wall pieces 🏀, and medium sized sculptures are available! If you are able to/ interested in making a purchase from me, all the funds of these sales are going to support my move to/ and first couple months of living in Helena while I start my time at @archie_bray! Please dm me if you are interested in seeing an inventory list or playing with the virtual tulip builder on my website (not yet public on the homepage).🌷🌷 My manager said tulips are going to be huge next year so you gotta get in early🌷🌷 #ceramics #ceramicsale #ceramicstudio #contemporaryceramics taken in University of Iowa, Visual Arts Building by @kaitlinsmrcina

A dog from the Dog Show! “Poodle 1”, (“Who Shot J.R.” if you’re nasty) swipe for install pics and angles (just 1 angle) 🐩✨✨ My grandma had a black standard poodle that she might have loved more than my mother (not more than me tho😇👼) named after Dallas’ J.R. Ewing, of course. My grandfather did not see the vision though and she was forced to spell it “Jay-Ar” which is hideous and I weep for her everyday. rip grandma, I named my cat after a cartoon dinosaur turtle, so I fuck with your vision // #dogs #ceramicsofinstagram #ceramicstudio #contemporaryceramics #ceramics taken in University of Iowa, Visual Arts Building by @kaitlinsmrcina
