This week we were called back to serve up in a holler with @chrisappproj . Throughout our time, we kept in our minds that whoever we crossed paths with, that the Lord had sent them intentionally to us and us to them. Christ had sent us to John and his family to deconstruct and rebuild their previous warped and rotted deck, install a ramp, and add a back porch so they had a way to get out in the back. We knew we were sent to them to help fix their home but learned after arriving of what bigger impact than just the rebuild we were going to take with us. The Lord blessed us with 6-year-old Gracelyn to remind us that even when we were exhausted and had no energy left, that she had a radiant joy from a simple game of rock, paper, butterfly or a “hey you!”Whether she was running around with bubbles, bringing us an animal to hold, or asking at the end of each day to take a picture, she was the living proof of why we were sent to serve her family. “I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”John 17:26. I am so thankful we got to be a reflection of the Lords light to John and his family, and see that same light in them as they poured an abundant amount of love and energy into us the entire week. #sharecap by @kaitlyn.fels
