How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard…
Today I closed my chapter with competitive cheer and I don’t think words will ever fully capture what these past 12 years have meant to me. They have truly been the best years of my life, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. As I walk away from this weekend I feel nothing but gratitude and joy for this incredible sport and my gym. If you know me you know cheer has never been just a sport to me, it’s my everything. Premier will always and forever be my home. This sport shaped me into who I am today. It built my confidence, my drive, my competitiveness, and my passion. No matter what was going on in my life I knew I could walk into that gym, and for those 2–3 hours nothing else in the world mattered. It was my escape, my outlet, and my safe place. I will forever be in debt to @pakw_sharkscheer and @premierathletics1 for the love, the lessons, and the friendships that they gave me. Nothing will ever come close to the feeling on being on a stage doing what I love most with my best friends. I will forever be grateful that the Lord placed such a deep passion for cheer in my heart. Our God is so intentional and gracious and I couldn’t be more thankful that he placed me at Premier. This sport will always be my first and greatest love. It doesn’t feel real that it’s over but I know this is just the beginning of another amazing chapter. Thank you, Jesus, for blessing me with these incredible 12 years. I will carry them with me forever. 💙🖤
