Really excited about this month’s TBR. I predict it’s going to be an amazing time. 😍

I also just decided to add an extremely popular, well known fantasy series to my December TBR that I honestly can’t believe I haven’t read yet. Any guesses what that might be? 😬

🦇October Wrap Up🦇

Predominately an SJM month, but I’m not complaining. ACOSH was a hot mess and while I spent most of the book livid, I still ate it up and am so excited about where things are going to go. Based on the amount of fun I had while reading, my favorites of the month have to be ACOSH and Threshing Day.

What was your favorite book of October?

Just another ACOSH post for your feed. I finished last night and I have A LOT of thoughts. But most of all it was so much fun being back in this world. Let’s chat in DM’s if you’re finished. ☺️

💥Helloooo Crawlers💥

Every day I fight the urge to reread Dungeon Crawler Carl and @maevechocolate is not helping with their amazing DCC chocolate bars. The Virgin Dirty Shirley bar was already amazing, but then they had to go and top it with the Sweet Pota-Toe Chip bar. It’s so good and now I want a reread even more badly.

Do yourself a favor and get some DCC chocolate. You can order online or find the DCC collab in Barnes and Noble stores. There’s also some other really great flavors. I haven’t met a bon bon of theirs I didn’t like and their Cabin S’mores and San Juan Salted Toffee bars are feral god level good.

Princess Donut and Mongo approve this message.

This @fairyloot edition is giving all the autumn vibes so this was a must read right now. I also thoroughly enjoyed I, Medusa and I was really excited to start Hawk and Sparrow.

It’s been a busy week so I’m reading a little slower than usual and I’m listening to HOFAS to get ready for next week. So far I’ve been enjoying this one though. If you like murder mysteries with a touch of magic, unlikely allies, fake dating and fall vibes, you should definitely pick up Hawk and Sparrow.

What are you currently reading?

ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL WE’RE BACK IN PRYTHIAN🎉🎉🎉

I’m getting really excited to see what the Inner Circle has been up to. I finished my ACOSF reread yesterday and am starting my House of Flame and Shadow reread today. I’ll be done just in time for A Court of Splintered Harmony.

I’m extra excited about this next story arc being called The Valkyrie Cycle because they’re one of my favorite aspects of the series. So many theories have been circulating since HOFAS came out and I can’t wait to see where Sarah takes things. I have total and complete trust in her.

I know with leaks and some stores not following release protocol spoilers are already popping up. 😒 My posts will always be spoiler free for new releases, so this is a safe space. But once I finish reading I’ll be ready to spiral about the inevitable cliff hanger Sarah leaves us with until January in DM’s. 😅

Some series continuations, finales, standalones and the start to new series that were all so much fun to binge. Definitely recommend picking up these recent releases immediately.

What recent new release met all your expectations?

Just showing some appreciation to my favorite standalone book of all time. The Night Circus is the most magical book and the book I most wish I could step inside the pages of. I’d be a rêveur chasing the circus around the world in a heartbeat.

I did my yearly reread back in August and this is definitely a book that doesn’t get old. I’m just as in awe of this world Morgenstern created every time I revisit it. I swear I can taste, hear and feel the magic of the circus when I’m reading and isn’t that the greatest feeling?

What’s a book that resonated in your soul?

Just some books I think deserve more love. Have you read any of these? Think you might be interested in picking one of them up now? I’d highly recommend it!

These are some books I see often and can confirm they are worth every second of pain and suffering. They’re also a good time, just trust me. 😋

Dungeon Crawler Carl is a wild time and everyone absolutely must read it. The audiobooks are the best audiobooks in existence and I’m begging you to listen to this series.

The Unselected Journlas of Emma M. Lion are just so much fun and get better and better with each book. Such an easy series to binge.

Everyone who says The Faithful and the Fallen is phenomenal and a must read series is in fact correct.

This series is torture, but in a good way? Will we ever get Red God? Will Pierce kill everyone we love? Only time will tell. I still think you should read it though. 😂

Look, I don’t talk about this series nearly as much as I used to. I think I kind of hate it? But I also love it with my whole heart? I suffer 99% of the time while reading or thinking about these books and I just want you to suffer with me. 😂 And Lance Orion is still the love of my life.

Mistborn has such a cool magic system and just has that old school fantasy feel that’s so much fun. I love both eras, but the second is the best in my opinion and Wayne is one of my all time favorite characters.

Once upon a time, in a land long since burned to ash, there lived a young princess who loved her kingdom. Forever the greatest series on earth and worth every bit of hype.

Yes, all of those books up there are Empyrean books. No, I will not be taking questions on my sanity at this time. 😜

I thoroughly enjoyed being back at Basgiath and getting to binge this collection of Threshing Day stories. It was such a nice little treat while we wait for book 4.

I’ve seen everyone spiraling with theories and getting roasted over and over trying to bond their own the dragons the last few days. It’s been a blast and I too spent multiple days and multiple email addresses collecting my own horde of dragons. Never got a black or blue though, despite much determination. 😂

How many tries did it take you to bond a dragon?

🪞The Mirror of Infinite Endings🪞

I absolutely loved being back in The Magnificent North and getting more Jacks and Evangeline. This series is perfection and having a little extra time with their story was truly magical.

If you haven’t read this series yet you absolutely should. It’s full of magic and wonder and it’ll never get old. I’m in the camp that you should read Caraval first though. Who wouldn’t want more time in the magical worlds Stephanie creates? And it’s another delightful series that sets up this story nicely.

Just going to sit here wishing I could try an apple roasted by a little dragon from The Magnificent North.
