[ KILLJOY ]
CT-30-6221
VALAR SQUAD

reference sheet redraw/update! i drew his first one back in oct 2024, which is crazyyyyy to think about. i’m really proud of my art progress that’s happened over this last year (even though i’m still not super satisfied with how this one turned out…but tbh i just needed to call it done & good enough, and i’ll revisit it again in the future). but man i just love my lil tortured sunbeam, i really need to draw him more often. adding his description from his first post for anyone who wants to read it :)

killjoy is the leader of valar squad, holding the rank of lieutenant in the GAR — a position he doesn’t take lightly and worked extremely hard to get to. a goody-two-shoes, stick-in-the-mud who takes everything too seriously and has an almost nonexistent sense of humor. a good soldier who follows orders, and takes his duty as a trooper soberly. holds himself and his team to incredibly high standards.
a jack-of-all-trades, he is well equipped to lead his squadron of ARC troopers on specialized missions. weapon of choice is a DC-17m IWS, which he keeps meticulously and rigorously maintained; his only real possession, which previously belonged to a fallen brother.
a stoic man on the outside, internally he struggles with the trauma and grief that is brought on from the war.

Valar may be a handful (and give Killjoy his premature gray hairs & wrinkles) but at least they’re not toxic like Jade Squad was. Now he just has to keep them alive.

TAKU NAGADEBOSHI & YANG
my husband’s clone wars character and his companion! taku is a pacifist killik from alderaan, chosen to save his people from a prophecy that spells doom. along the way, he picks up a unique varactyl from utapao, forging a life-long bond with her after she saves him. together, the two misfits are thrust into the clone wars, and have to develop to the changing times if they want to save the killik.
•
i loved getting to help design both of these two and bring them to life :D i had so much fun doing their colors, especially yang, ugh, i love her. taku is a leucistic killik, while yang is a miniature, melanistic varactyl. taku’s design pulls from praying mantises and white knights, while yang is based heavily off palulukans
