It’s about time I did an intro 👋

Have a lot of a new followers around here so wanted to make this post.

My name is Coach Kaiya, from Japan, raised in Bangkok, and now living down-under in Melbourne 🇦🇺

Age 14 I got into fitness from a place of insecurity.

I saw how it changed my body & confidence, it became a passion of mine and I wanted to help others do the same.

Age 18 I became a qualified PT, worked in Tokyo, and was training expats nearly twice my age at gym.

I moved to Melbourne to further my studies, get my degree in sports science, and in 2020 built Ascension.

This is for the man who’s already built the career, but watched the body fall behind.

Most of my clients have tried before - different programs, different coaches, the same plan that didn’t fit their actual life.

Six months later they were starting over.

Ascension is the 90-day system for the man who’s done starting over.

Strong body. Clear mind. Quiet confidence.

If that’s you, comment “LEAN” or shoot a DM. From there, we’ll map your 90 days together 🤝

𝙍𝙖𝙡𝙥𝙝’𝙨 𝙙𝙤𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚...

He was hooked on tons of medications to control his high blood pressure and his weight was creeping up each month.

After Covid-19, Ralph gained 20+ kgs and didn’t even know who was staring back at him in front of the mirror anymore.

Working as a full-time analyst, Ralph was constantly busy and stressed, and his goal was to achieve his older body.

His health was worsening each day, and he was starting to feel the effects: low energy, poor mental-health, and lack of self-confidence.

He made two important decisions last year:

1. to stop feeling sorry for himself (victim mentality)

2. to get professional help as he knew he couldn’t do it alone

Ralph reached out to us knowing he was missing out on his full potential.

In a few weeks time, he already started to experience immense benefits like his weight shedding off and feeling 10x fitter than before!

In over a year, his transformation has shocked his family, friends, and even himself.

He not only got his old body back, but even better than before.

Most importantly, Ralph has ADDED years back to his life knowing he’s going to live out the rest of his life healthier, happier, and to his full potential.

All the other benefits he’s experienced?

Lost all his excess body-fat, revealed his abs

Fitting into his favourite clothes, back to size S

Off all blood pressure medication, Doctor is proud!

Ralph is a testament to hard work, resilience, and how having the proper game-plan can condense years of progress into months with the right guidance & execution! by @kaiyanemish

Grow shoulders that pop with 5 exercises..

I hear men say all the time they want to build a Dorito back and lean waist.

But they are focusing on the wrong thing.

Your shoulders give the illusion of a wide back and lean waist, and most men are training them completely wrong.

Your delts are made up of 3 parts:

1️⃣ Front head - ALREADY trained by horizontal push exercises like bench press, push-ups, and dips (vertical)

2️⃣ Side head - middle part of your delts, makes it pop out (DB lateral raise, cable lat raises, upright rows)

3️⃣ Rear-head - most neglected part which gives your delts that 3D look (face pulls, rear-delt flies, reverse pec)

Pick 2 exercises from the lateral and rear-delt list, and one from the front delt (overhead press, Arnold press).

That’s all you need to grow your shoulders - train 2 sets per exercise within 8-12 rep range.

Focus on lifting heavier, and of course consistent.

15 kgs down and built a LEAN physique for life..

Michael was working out for years and lifting heavy but it didn’t show in the mirror.

Working as a professional wedding DJ, he would eat out often and have lots of celebrations / parties.

This made it hard to stick to a proper diet, and Michael ended up skinny-fat after his weight crept up for years.

Michael lacked the proper diet structure to get lean, and was simply winging his diet with no accountability.

So instead, we built him a flexible eating system where he learned how to properly track his foods..

While eating out, going to raves, and still building muscle in the gym training 4x per week.

He’s now dropped 15 kgs, shredded down to 10-12% body fat, and most importantly feels confident.

That confidence has stretched into his work and personal life, including taking his shirt off at raves.

A bit of a vulnerable shares..

I’m not the perfect trainer, boyfriend, and brother.

I’ve spent thousands going to therapy from an anxiety disorder diagnosed at 18.

I used to rot play video games until 2 am, struggled with corn addiction, and had no drive.

I didn’t grow up with my Japanese father and didn’t put in effort to build a relationship.

All these flaws though make me who I am. And I’m grateful to be able to learn and grown from each.

Thats why I love coaching and getting to train people, because I know no one’s perfect.

Fitness & mental health was the bridge between me feeling lost and now having confidence in myself. by @kaiyanemish

🏨 Comment “HILTON” for my 30-min hotel workouts..

You don’t need a fully-stacked gym with fancy machines you’ll never use.

A dumbbell rack, bench, and adventurous mindset is all you need.

I squeezed a 30-minute workout in my hotel gym in China, got a crazy arm pump, and left feeling great.

You can still make time but if you’re clueless what workouts to do with limited equipment..

Allan built a successful career, but his body didn’t show it..

Growing up as a bigger kid, he carried body insecurities for years and often felt self-conscious taking his shirt off at the beach.

Despite being successful in his career, travelling 60–70% of the time for work made it difficult to stay consistent with his training and nutrition.

With his 40th birthday approaching, he knew it was time to prioritise himself and finally achieve the physique he’d always wanted.

His goal was simple: build lean muscle, lose his stubborn belly fat, and finally feel confident in his own skin.

So we built an easy training and eating system for his lifestyle:

✅ He no longer feels clueless what to do in hotel gyms with limited equipment

✅ Knows what foods to eat and cut when travelling to get lean & stay consistent

✅ Has a structured program where he doesn’t have to think about or plan everything himself.

Fast forward to just 10-weeks, Alaric has dropped 5% body fat, can start to see his abs, and has built muscle-definition (chest, shoulder, & arms).

But more importantly, he is starting to feel comfortable, has an eating system that survives airport lounges & travels, and is building a body that matches his success.

Proof that even with a demanding career and constant travel, you can still achieve your biggest health goals. by @kaiyanemish

Comment “MEALS” for my 15 high-protein recipes 🍚

Note these foods don’t directly lose belly-fat, they only make the process easier by sticking to a calorie deficit.

All these foods fit either one or all categories: high in protein, fibre, or volume (more filling).

A calorie deficit is the only way to properly lose fat, and a good place to start is 400-600 from your maintenance.

Easiest way to calculate your maintenance is take your body weight (kgs) x 24, and adjust each week from there. by @kaiyanemish

The reason you look like you don’t lift..

I hear this from career-driven men all the time, they want to “bulk up” and get bigger.

But if you’ve been training for years (even if on-and-off), you don’t need to gain more muscle.

You need to cut stubborn fat hiding the underlying muscle or tone.

And that won’t happen with spamming bulks which is regressing your physique.

If you want to look like you lift, reveal your abs, and get your muscles fully defined..

Commit to one proper cut where you can break 10-15% body fat, and keep it while still enjoying your K-BBQ & nights out.

Jacky lost 10% body fat and gained a lean physique on 16-weeks

Just 4 months ago, Jacky was tired of looking average (first left photo was in April before starting his program).

He’d been going to the gym on and off since 2020, but his results didn’t show in the mirror.

Working a 9 - 5 desk job while pursuing his music career, Jacky struggled to balance training, late nights at the studio, and getting proper sleep.

He was constantly tired, his gym routine became a stop-start cycle, and he started to lose motivation on his fitness journey.

So he decided to invest in his health , and we built a plan to help him fully lean-out for his upcoming musical performances.

His goal wasn’t just to look better, he wanted to build a defined physique, improve his stamina, and feel confident in photoshoots, content, & live performances.

In just 14-weeks:

✅ Jacky dropped 10 kgs while attending concerts, parties, and social-events

✅ Defeated his stop-start training cycle, hasn’t missed a single workout since start his program and now following a structured plan to get lean

✅ Improved his energy, stamina, and fitness to feel more confident during live performances, social-life, and content shoots

The biggest win was his change in confidence - Jacky not only has built better habits and discipline around his training, nutrition, and lifestyle..

But feels comfortable in the clothes he wears, no longer feels like his arms are “twigs”, and has built a lean physique with visible abs.

Jacky finally has a physique he feels proud showing, and confidence that carries into his music career and everyday life.

16 weeks of putting in the work, and the results speak for themselves. Proud of you Jacky! 🔥 by @kaiyanemish

10 years to build something I’m proud of..

All thanks to a choice I made at 15/16 to start training.

Fitness helped me build a strong and lean physique.

But more than this, it helped instil confidence and self-belief after feeling invisible for years.

Now I get to help my clients transform their bodies and feel confident in it, my dream career.
