✨ BIG NEWS — Our new weatherization improvement project at Kaiyō Rooftop is now complete!

This July, we closed off one of our open-air dining areas and began extending the covered pergola that shelters the rest of our rooftop. When I stood in this empty space, I could already picture it: tables full of friends, the skyline glowing through the windows, and the same Kaiyō energy in every season.

Today, it’s finished and open for all of you to enjoy. I hope you’ll join us soon.

The new space also makes Kaiyō an even more beautiful setting for private gatherings all year long. We’re now booking winter events, and we’d love to host yours.

Keep an eye out for a full tour later this week, or come visit us in person to see it for yourself.

🎃 Golden hour, cooler nights, and an Old Fashioned that tastes like October.

The Autumnal Old Fashioned, created by our bartender Zelzin Lopez, is on the menu now through October 18 for Old Fashioned Week. Japanese whisky meets bourbon, with pumpkin, brown sugar, and white miso.

The new kid on Union Street is no stranger to Cow Hollow.
.
Her older sister debuted on the same block back in 2018, a sophisticated restaurant with a Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian) menu that had just enough time to become a fixture before Covid rolled through town.

Owner John Park felt confident that the Kaiyō Cow Hollow needed in 2026 was more energetic, casual, and playful. A creative younger sister that would be many things to many people.
