Real post. I have been dealing with some depression lately. It makes everything feel heavier, even getting to the gym.
I am posting this because I know I am not the only one who sits on a machine for a minute just trying to get going. Showing up does not mean I have it figured out, it just means I am not giving up.
If you are in that space, you are not alone. Talk to someone you trust, a friend, family, coach, or a mental health professional if you can. The gym helps me cope, it is not a replacement for support. by @kaizerbuilt

Life gets busier. Responsibilities get heavier. Commitments grow. But my goal hasn’t changed—be better than the man I was yesterday. by @kaizerbuilt

Same mirror. Different man.
We don’t chase the aesthetic, we build it.
One rep, one set, one day at a time by @kaizerbuilt

Shoulders & Arms. No skipped sets. No ego lifting. Just work.
10-12 hour shifts.
5/7 days.
Still no days off from the rebuild.
Stay focused on YOUR lane.
Push yourself forward when everyone else quits.
This isn’t for looks. This is for standard.
We keep building.
Save this for your shoulder day. Follow the rebuild if you’re after 40 and done with excuses.

This isn’t a flex. It’s a checkpoint.
Tired? Yes.
Done? Never.
I don’t post to impress. I post to remind someone out there who is starting over at 30, 40, 50 — you’re not late. You’re right on time.
The work doesn’t get easier. You just get stronger.

165 DAYS AGO I WAS DONE HIDING

Feb 27th: 275 lbs. Tired. Heavy. Not just on the bar.
10-12 hour work shifts.
5-6 days a week.
No days off from life.
I didn’t have time. I MADE time.

No skipped gym days.
No cheat days.
Always eating clean.
Not because I’m perfect.
Because I’m done negotiating with myself.
Discipline doesn’t care if you’re tired. It says SHOW UP.

165 DAYS.
Feb 27th: 275 lbs.
Today, Aug 10th: 242 lbs.
10-12 hour shifts.
5/7 days a week.
No skipped gym days.
No cheat days.
Eating clean when nobody was watching.
Am I perfect? No.
Cardio is still my weak spot and I’m attacking it every day.
But I’m 33 lbs lighter and a different man.
No motivation. Just discipline.
No excuses. Just work.
If you’re over 40 and think it’s too late - follow the rebuild.
We’re just getting started.

I stopped looking for motivation.
Started building discipline.

Family always has your back.
The rest is just noise.
