Our Lord’s Candle is in bloom!
“But Kajon, what is Our Lord’s Candle”, you ask?
It is a Hesperoyucca Whipplei, also called Chaparral Yucca, (though technically not a yucca anymore). These plants bloom in April & May around Easter, and when the moon is out they are very bright at night. Story goes, that when the missionaries came through California in the 1700’s, they claimed the Lord was lighting candles to show them the way to go.

Gaaawwwddddd having a veggie garden again and my hands in dirt is heaven! I thought maybe I forgot how to grow, especially in a new growing environment (Zone) but oh my!
Such a bounty!
Loving life so hard right now!

Did I mention my baby daughter grew me a baby grandchild?!?!?
And yes I did lead with the tomatoes…’cause just when you thought life couldn’t get any better…then lil baby Roux was born! She is one week and one day!
