First semester done, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I want to say a huge thank you to my wonderful and talented classmates. The way we support and cheer each other on - wow, I have no words❤️ @stepitlikeitshot

Little did I know when I created this choreography that a year later I’d be performing it in front of my whole class — and for @steenkoernerstudio who we now have the honor of working with for our upcoming performance. When Steen asked us to prepare a solo to perform for him, it was obvious to me that I had to do a Dancehall piece — with a little Afro vibe in the end of course! I’m so grateful for everything I’ve experienced at @hotstepper_dance_education so far.
So here it is — my solo! Enjoy!🫶

Battle and freestyle dump:

1. I did my first ever battle😭 One of the scariest but best things I’ve ever done. Wasn’t my best performance but I’m so proud that I did it. And so thankful that I did it with my dance partner @addemove 🫶🫶

Before I started at @hotstepper_dance_education I had never practiced freestyle or battling before. It has really challenged me, and I’m looking forward to growing even more in this area because I’ve discovered something new that I really love!!🥰 taken in Copenhagen, Dennmark by @kajsaericsson1

My second performance was my own piece that I created 🤍 The same number I submitted to the pre-selection—and made it all the way to the finals with.

It wasn’t the easiest journey getting there. A week before the finals, I got sick, so I couldn’t practice nearly as much as I had planned. Just a few days before, I didn’t even know if I’d be able to compete.

But I decided to go for it anyway—to step on stage, do my best, and most importantly, have fun. Sometimes things don’t turn out exactly how you imagined, but they can still turn out pretty great ✨ I ended up placing third, and I’m incredibly grateful for that!
