💕🦇It’s COVER REVEAL Day! 💕🦇 I’m excited to reveal cover for my next cosy romantasy – A Witch’s Guide to Practical Magic. Set in the small town Cackleshore Academy for Witches,
I can’t wait to introduce you Nell, her snarky cat, Smudge, gossiping gargoyles and the witchling in the wild she seeks.

I've adored creating Cackleshore Academy, the cosy town with its cafe - Callie's Cosy Cauldron and of course, a bookshop 📚😊

It’s out in September 2026 with @onemorechapterhc Available to pre-order in e-book, paperback and audio now!

The fabulous book cover was designed by @shariborba_designs

Welcome to Cackleshore Academy…

When reluctant witch Nell Clayton packed her bags and escaped her family’s magical boarding school all those years ago, she had no intention of ever returning. But when a hex sends the life she’s worked hard to build for herself up in flames, she’s forced to crawl back home in search of a roof over her head and a teaching job to pay the bills.

But all is not what it seems at Cackleshore Academy, and with an undocumented witchling causing havoc in town, a mysterious force working to dismantle the school from the inside, and a handsome ghost from Nell’s past determined to get revenge for a betrayal she can’t remember, she’ll have no choice but to embrace the magic she’s long fought, and become the witch she was always meant to be…

I'm in awe of the readers comments from my readers of A Blend of Magic. In a few short months I still can't believe I have written and published a book.

Blurb

A witch cannot exist on potions and tea alone.

Hiding in the shadows, staunch singleton Willow Anderson is content running her successful business, The Enchanted Emporium. With Christmas days away, she’s eager to exchange selling bespoke tea blends and spells for extended bubble baths and binge-watching festive movies snuggled next to her Maine Coon, Vincent.

Nate never usually runs away from his problems, but drunk and disorientated, he finds himself in a small fisherman’s cottage in the Yorkshire coastal town of Whitby. After discovering his girlfriend’s affair, he is in no rush to return to the City. His wish for time alone in a Christmas-free zone comes true until an uninvited feline guest arrives.

Neither Nate nor Willow want company, especially from each other, but they have little choice when concussion means they must spend at least twenty-four hours together. Sparks fly and not just the romantic kind. When darkness from Willow’s past returns and threatens to destroy all she has worked for, pursuing a love affair is the last thing she needs.

With meddling ghosts and a teenage apprentice with her own matchmaking agenda, love and change are in the air.

But can Willow face her fears, and the past, to capture the happiness she deserves?

Down on my blog Kate Kenzie Writes and substack is a guest post by @robinbennettauthor about the Yorkshire Coast and his new book Dreadnought.

Not only is Dreadnought based on my favourite place it sounds an ideal book for this time of year. I wish I wasn't snowed under with uni and revisions I'd be reading it

Blurb:

A child sees things she’s sure don’t exist. The adults call it trauma. They’re both wrong.

On a remote Yorkshire headland known as Dreadnought, seven-year-old Cass Delaval begins to glimpse figures and fragments tied to a past that refuses to stay buried.

As the world edges toward conflict, Cass is drawn into a family mystery stretching back to the Second World War: a missing boy, a hidden weapon, and a family secret.

Because whatever has lain dormant on Dreadnought goes deep into our past … and it isn’t finished with us yet.

Dreadnought is a story of loyalty and hope, where the courage of one small girl may be our last defence.

Today it's my turn to shout about The Hollow Garden by Natalie Grace Lewis and shout I will. If a haunting gothic mystery is your thing - this book is for you this spooky season. It has a brooding atmospheric graveyard, sentient ivy, family secrets and suspicious death.

I was enthralled until the last page and book hangover ensued. I was so pleased to hear it is part of a series, it left me wanting more.

Once Wordpress stops having a tantrum every time I edit the post, a full review will be linked below.

Blurb:

A haunting, slow-burn contemporary gothic mystery about inheritance, buried secrets and an estate that refuses to stay silent

Seventeen years ago, Kyra Masters fled the Hollow Garden and never looked back.

Haunted by fragmented memories of her friend Eleanor's death and the events that followed, she has spent years trying to build a life far from the estate that shattered her community and left her questioning her own mind.

Following her aunt's death, Kyra unexpectedly inherits the Hollow Garden. A sprawling Victorian graveyard of crumbling mausoleums, ruined monuments, and paths tangled with the rare Night Ivy that has grown there for generations.

The place she returns to is not the one she remembers. Time has transformed it into something stranger, its shadows heavy with secrets long hidden behind graves and mausoleum. Family resentments linger, and an old flame is unwilling to let the past remain buried.

As old memories begin to surface, Kyra is forced to confront the tragedy she has spent years trying to forget. What really happened on the night Eleanor died? And why have those around her worked so hard to bury the truth?
The estate was never meant to be hers. And the Hollow Garden has a will of its own.

Nostalgia is for those who sleep well.

Today over on my blog, Kate Kenzie Writes, I'm excited to share my full review for @heidi_swain Falling for you.

A slow burn seasonal romance which immersed you into autumn and beyond with strong characters, location and community.
The descriptions make your taste buds tingle, your imagination fill with colour and your heart sigh.

Blurb:

Can love blossom amongst the leaves?

When Skylar Shawe moves to Nightingale Square in the heart of Norwich, she’s hoping for a fresh start and the chance to connect with the father she never knew. A break from the chaos of real life seems like the perfect way to catch her breath…until she meets Erik, the brooding but wildly handsome neighbour with a past he’s still trying to come to terms with.

Once a rugby hero, Erik Svensson now faces life on unfamiliar terrain after suffering a career-ending injury. Unsure of the man he’s become, he’s determined to live a peaceful life while he finds himself again. What he doesn’t expect is to find himself drawn to the new girl in Nightingale Square.

But sometimes, life – and love – has a way of sneaking up on you. As they navigate their new lives and their own troubles, they discover that healing isn’t just about moving on … it’s about letting someone in. And in each other, they might just find exactly what they didn’t know they were looking for…
