The Kalamazoo Maroons 18u traveled to Brighton to end the season, going 6-0 on the weekend & winning the Legacy College Prep Classic (Wood Bat).

The boys of summer finished 25-5-1 on the season.

Grateful in knowing these boys learned life lessons that the game teaches they will forever hold onto.

Our successful season isn’t measured solely by the wins and losses. It was built on the daily commitment to getting better and always learning. Learning on how to deal with the failures the game presents the right way. Controlling the controllables. Being where their feet are at. Being grateful for the opportunity to play the game. Being DESERVING of success. Success is seen in the growth of our players as teammates and young men who embrace adversity, hold each other accountable, and represent the Kalamazoo Maroons program with pride.

The Kalamazoo Maroons showed up and showed out this weekend in Grand Rapids.

Down 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs the 18u clawed their way back and walked it off the for the championship, going 6-0 on the weekend.

While being tasked with a 3 game day, the 16u fell just short in the championship game 2-1, going 6-1 on the weekend.

Every single one of these young men should be proud of what they have accomplished this summer.

Every single one of these boys this weekend contributed to the overall success of their TEAM & FAMILY.

Both of these teams have had an incredible summer. Proud in knowing they represent every value that it takes to be a Kalamazoo Maroon.
