Now playing: Van Gogh's Shoes (Take 2) Live at Catherine North Studios (Mono Mix)

"If I share one thing with you
It’s that a dream it will come true
Let your mind be free to roam and you will know
That a dream is just a truth
But disguised to frighten you
And it hums a quiet tune to invite you to the roof

To view a starry sky
Now I’m walking in those shoes
Another mile I’ll walk but another day I’ll know

That the future could be yours
You could read it in the news
I painted starry night wearing Van Gogh’s shoes

And if heaven touches down
On this earth it’s meant to be
Take another's hand in time, love is all you need
With my feet sunk in the sand
And the water to your knees
All I think with every step, she was beautiful to me

I’ve seen a starry sky
Now I’m walking in those shoes
Another mile I’ll walk but another day I’ll know

That the future could be yours
You could read it in the news
I painted starry night wearing Van Gogh’s shoes

I could not imagine to
See these yellows, white and blues
As I lay here in my room I see through the roof
And the starry sky it calls for me
To think outside these walls
For a dream it can come true
Write a letter to the moon

To wish for starry skies
Now I’m walking with the blues
Another mile I’ll walk but another day we’ll see

That the future could be yours
We are all invited to paint a starry night
Wearing Van Gogh’s shoes

Paint a starry night wearing Van Gogh’s shoes"

🎤 From the upcoming 'Storytelling' studio album. This is not the studio recording, just a live performance of the track. Mono mix. Take 2, a rough draft/uncut vocal take recorded live off the floor in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. Engineered by @crashaidan at @catherinenorthstudios on October 5th 2025.

Thank you for listening. ❤️ by @kalebhikele

This must be the cutest thing that's ever happened at any of my shows. Please watch all the way to the end of this song to see the coolest baby make a cameo with me on stage. Elise wins the Mom of the Year Award. Love them both. Thanks for listening ❤️ taken in St. Thomas, Ontario by @kalebhikele

I love singing this song. An ode, tribute, jazz ballad written with my love of 30's jazz standards in mind. As a young guy in my early 20's, I wrote this for Billie Holiday to sing, in another life...

Now playing: 'I Know'
Live at Central United Church
St. Thomas, Ontario, June 2026

From my new live album "Choral" @ https://kalebhikelelive.bandcamp.com

Watch the full concert on Youtube if you'd like.

I've never played the piano solo of this song 'Home' the same way twice, I leave it up to surprise and improvisation in front of a live audience, every single time (starts around 30 seconds in...) Sometimes it's scary. This time may have been one of the wildest and most off the rails solo's of them all! I loved it. Must have been because I was in the city I call home.

Listen to the live album "Choral" on Bandcamp or the watch the full concert on Youtube, now available!

Enjoy.

Who needs a microphone when you have a church as an amplifier?

Here I am singing 'Everything You're Looking For' from my 2017 album "Winter" by The Sun Harmonic. The rest of my solo show in Central United Church is up for viewing now on Youtube and for free digital download on Bandcamp (via my live album "Choral", link in bio, PWYC)

Peace and love,

Never-before-seen footage live in my hometown. Singing this song back at home is a special kind of feeling homesick! This one is for you, St. Thomas...

'Homesick' from my live album "Choral" - free to stream/download on the Bandcamp exclusive (link in bio)... I've sung it all across Canada for over a decade but there's still no place like home to sing this song.

Sharing footage from this show, finally, but you can go watch them all now on Youtube. Seven live performance videos from this concert at Central United Church are now available: [https://www.youtube.com/@ KalebHikeleSongs]
