The Making of “Kyle”

A beaded purse I made for @santafeindianmarket 2025. Took over a month to bead and it was definitely worth it! Honoring my late uncle, Kyle Norris ❤️🕊️

The materials used in this piece are size 11/0, 12/0 and 13/0 true cuts, size 9/0 and 12/0 tri cuts, Zambian Emeralds, Londigo Rubies, Tanzanite, Sapphires, Diamonds (Black, White, Green and Yellow Diamonds), 24K plated beads, 4mm Hematite beads, barrel caps, Ermine Tails, and Brain Tanned Elk Hide.

The Process of 🌷🩷Pink🩷🌷

The outfit was started back in October 2024. I took a break from it to complete other orders and projects, and then I finally got back to working on it full time in January 2025. This is my now MOST FAVORITE outfit I’ve got to do. Thank you to everyone who supported the journey and thank you to everyone who bought in on this outfit wraffle. She is making her way to her new home as we speak and I couldn’t be more grateful that it’s going to make it’s first grand entry soon 🥹🩷🫶🏽

I love you sis and I'm so happy you got to wear everything in time for this pow wow!!! Enjoy!!! 💝🌸🐦

Everything is beaded on Brain Tanned Smoked Hide, 24K Gold, Vintage Cheyenne Pink AB Beads, 1¼ Dentalium Shells, and True Cut Seed Beads.

How to make a purse:

Step 1: Bead it!

Step 2: Trim the sides of the purse down at least 1/4 of an inch and cut out a piece of hide that is the same measurements as the purse.

Step 3: Tack down the corners so your hide is stable.

Step 4: Whip stitch the hide and beadwork 3/4 of the way. Leave one side alone. That’s where the opening of the purse is at.

Step 5 (optional): Remove the thread where it’s tacked down and begin to wrap stitch the sides.

Like and comment for part 2 ✨
