There are things I used to want so badly I would chase them down at any cost, fleeting feelings to try and fill the void I felt inside myself. Now more and more of the things I want are about finding and feeling genuine connection- to people, to the planet, to the experience I’m living. I’m not pretending I don’t still feel the void, but I’m making the conscious effort to fill it with things that bring me closer to being who I am. by @kalefinally

It’s an understatement to say superheroes have had a massive impact on my life. While I could easily write a love letter strictly to Spider-Man, I feel like I owe a nod to superheroes as a whole.

Superheroes gave me an escape when I needed it most and helped me process my own insecurities. Growing up, I was bullied for wearing glasses. Opening a comic book and seeing Cyclops, someone who had to wear a visor or sunglasses just to navigate the world felt oddly comforting. Seeing a hero deal with something similar made me feel less alone.

But as l’ve gotten older, Spider-Man has become the anchor. It’s less about the powers and more about staying hopeful when everything around you keeps changing. Tom Holland’s Peter Parker hits me the hardest, he feels like a kid carrying responsibilities way too big for his shoulders, yet he keeps going.
The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, but that doesn’t mean hope and kindness have to disappear.

Spidey is the ultimate symbol of resilience, a reminder that no matter how many times life knocks you down, you can still choose to do good. Every small act of kindness matters.

Sometimes I forget I have free will and can just post whatever I want, whenever I want. Lately I’ve been making my way through a manga called The Climber. Somewhere between the weight of its pages, I ended up doing this sketch alongside a few pages that stuck with me while reading.

Next on the list is “You Get So Alone at Times That It Just Makes Sense” by Charles Bukowski. If you’ve actually made it this far, I hope life treats you well until next time. Then again, it’s not like anyone really reads these captions anyway. by @kalefinally

In case no one told you today: you are a strong, resilient, capable little idiot. There’s never been a moron quite like you. And even tho you say dumb stuff all the time and talk too loud and kind of annoy everyone they all still put up with you for some reason. It’s truly incredible what you’ve accomplished given what an absolute imbecile you are. So get out there and give it your all today, you can do anything you put your tiny pea-brain mind to.

Al can never replace me. My whimsy cannot be replicated by a machine. My yearning cannot be substituted by a software that’s never rode a Harley Davidson motorcycle after an unspecified number of beers. I’ve gotten so silly my therapist ghosted me(I miss you, Linda.) My freak is a God given gift that no man made machine could ever match. I bet yours is too. May the Christian Lord continue to guide us on our hero’s quest. by @kalefinally

People say “go touch grass” as an insult on the internet. It’s actually great advice. Romanticize your real life. There’s nothing you’ll see on this app that’s as meaningful as making memories with people you love.

When I was a toddler my grandpa put me on his Street Glide and I smiled, then he fired up the engine and I cried. I think that’s how any good love story starts. I can’t even explain how much this concert meant to me. Immensely grateful for all the people I got to meet and things I got to experience. See you again soon. There is art in me- movement, poetry, stories, songs. I can feel their spark just below the surface. Some days I don’t dig for them at all, and when I lay down at night I feel restless because I know something special slipped through my fingers. Some days I try to force my way into finding them and I spend hours spinning my wheels but not gaining any traction.

Man, just a little bit of enjoying stuff lately. Little bit of this, little bit of that. Shoulder is feeling strong like bull. Mind is happy. Growing as fast as a dandelion in the fourth dimension of the Bhudda’s backyard, if you know what l’m saying.

World is spinning - we’re getting older, wiser, uglier. Can’t stop, won’t stop. Till you die. But it’s all gravy, bby gorl. It’s pretty fun - like 70ish% of the time.
