Safety and preparation! I had a great experience with Chuck at @atlantafirearmstraining

In my course, I was able to load and shoot with serveral firearms. It was amazing! The target in the video is from a 9mm.

Crazy thing is I haven't shot a firearm since I was ~15 years old with my Unc and cousin. 🎯

I haven't been feeling the best mentally and physically. Despite how the body feels you have to keep moving. I did what I could without causing additional pain and swelling.

Today, was an absolutely beautiful day to be on the mountain. ☀️😊

Side note: My entire body is swollen so this is why I look a little different. After speaking with God this week, I've decided to be grateful for all my phases of life. "In spite of..." taken in Arabia Mountain by @kalenna

I spent the weekend with my Great Nephew, Khi. Zoo Atlanta was a must.

This kid is full of personality. I kept all the candid/unprompted pictures and commentary. 🤣 Enjoy!

It was a perfect day to climb Stone Mountain.

Difficulty: moderate to hard
Elevation: 675 feet gain
Hiking Shoes: @merrell
Shirt: 50 SPF from Amazon (sun sensitivity)

Climbing Stone Mountain never gets easy for me. I categorize it as a hard level climb. Usually after my climb, I have to sit in my car for an extended period of time before I can drive. My experience is just that, my experience. The views and feeling of peace is so worth it.

Sleep is escaping me. My mom left this world in the physical exactly 6 years ago. Since her (mama's) departure, the reality of life being precious and time getting shorter with each second, minute, hour, and day. I've made it my mission to live out my dreams from childhood and as an adult.

Going to a Duke basketball game satisfied my inner child. I never imaged growing up in rural South Carolina to a single mother (widowed) of 4, that life's possibilities were/are endless. Growing up some things were only meant for TV and dreams. As God has continued to bless me; my hopes, prayers, and dreams are no longer just in my head or on TV. They are in the present moment.

Mama I know you're at peace because I'm doing thing beyond your belief.

This was more than an ACC Tourney Championship. Congrats, Duke!
