Hello all! I am free from the external fixator as of Friday, August 9 which happens to be Tom’s and my anniversary. I now have a splint with plaster and in it so still feels like it weighs a ton but may be because of loss of muscle. Who knows for sure? Still painful to some extent but so happy to have those rods out of my bones. I get to take the splint off Monday and start moving my arm a bit. A little scared how that will go but it’s time. Not sure when actual PT will begin but grateful that I am heading in the right direction. Thank you to those who have checked on me, sent cards, and visited with me. Truly find out who your true friends are. Love you all even those I know had their own problems they were working through or such busy lives. Thanks again! 🥀 by @kalexa996

Latest revision and I survived yet another surgery on Thursday. Was able to take bandages off today . Win! I am feeling a little wiped out but have a great doctor that is caring and knows what he is doing. I survived! by @kalexa996

Update!!!
Went to orthopedic doctor today and found out that the CAT scan I had last week shows. I need to have more surgery so I’m having surgery again on Thursday sometime. Please say a prayer for me. I’m a little scared, but hopeful that this will take care of the problem. Thanks everyone. by @kalexa996

Last Saturday I did something less than graceful. I was walking back to my sisters car to gather the rest of my things from her car back to mine. It didn’t happen. I rolled my ankle and fell down really fast on my right side and used a few expletives along with the landing. I stayed there and my sister called for an ambulance as I was sure there was no way I was letting anyone to move me. Sometime later, Mission Township Fire Dept., Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department, showed up to get vitals and information before AMR got there. They all did what they are supposed to do. I had 4 people pick me up so I could get on gurney and off we went with a small dose of Fentanyl so the bumpy ride wasn’t quite so bad. Okay, so this is too long to read so i will stop for now. I have many to thank but will save for later. I can’t comprehend completely as I am exhausted. I won’t be able to do much for awhile. I’ll answer questions if and when I can. Tennis Nationals are over for us here in Orlando so today we went to Cocoa Beach Pier so Tom could see the ocean he misses. I found out how wussy I am walking on the Sandy beach burning the bottoms of my feet. Now watching the Chiefs! Nail biting game… by @kalexa996
