Leaving round 2 of the NOS Energy Drink Gridlife Trackbattle Championship with the Streetmod record and the fastest overall lap of the weekend at at 1:59.653! After some aero tweaks this was the best the AMG has ever felt.

Unfortunately, it was a weekend full of mixed emotions. Although I accomplished a goal I’ve had ever since I’ve started running with @gridlifeofficial, we were unable to go home with the win let alone a podium.

During Q1 we were met with some quickly changing track conditions from rain and due to a lapse of judgment on my part, the car snapped out from underneath me touching the slick painted curbs at the exit of turn one.

Thankfully I was able to scrub a lot of speed but we still met the wall breaking the front splitter and scrapping the front bumper. Mechanically the car was completely fine, but we had to repair the front splitter before we could turn more laps.

Quickly we were able to get the splitter repaired good enough to go back out on track for Q2, which on most race weekends would mean we wouldn’t have any sort of problem making it into the Podium Sprint. Unfortunately, due to some rain that just seemed never end, it was impossible to match the lap times needed from the drier conditions the day before.

Next up we’ve got Gridlife Midwest at Gingerman Raceway, my personal favorite event and I can promise we’ll be back to fighting at the front. On top of that it’s the 10 year anniversary event making it one you don’t want to miss! Looking forward to all of the fun on and off track.

This one’s gonna take a bit to set in, but it happened, we won Laguna!!

I seriously can’t stress enough how much of a dream come true this is for me, getting my first win in Streetmod, one of the hardest classes to win in, at a track I’ve been wanting to drive on ever since I was a kid.

This entire season has been a massive team effort, really the past two years developing a new car leading up to this point. To everyone that has helped in any way to make this happen, thank you.

5 events, 5 podiums. This year was all about consistency and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished! Coming home with P2 at Lime Rock Park officially has locked me into P2 in points for the season making it my best season yet beating my P3 finish back in 2024! This year was all about precision and consistency and although I’m proud of the work I’ve done personally to personally improve as a driver, this was a collective effort from every single one of my partners to give me a car that I could truly lean into with drive with confidence. The works not finished though, there’s some key areas of improvement the car needs in order to fight for P1 next year but I know we’re ready for the challenge!

Would you track an AMG GT S?

We caught up with @kalfortner to talk about his 769 hp AMG GT S Time Attack build running the new @falkentire AZENIS RT660+.

Despite limited aftermarket support for the platform, Kal proved that in the right hands, the AMG GT S is a podium worthy chassis, taking 2nd place in the @gridlifeofficial Street Mod class at @limerockpark this past weekend.

It’s almost time for one of my favorite events at one of the most beautiful tracks in the country! Although this isn’t the best track for the Mercedes, Lime Rock Park is still such a riot! We got a podium here last year and I’m hyped to see what we can do this year!

Watkins Glen, you are incredible. Coming home with P2 and the Streetmod RWD record with a 1:58.8 definitely feels sweet, even with the overall record only being tenths away. This is one of those tracks that just clicked for me with every single lap feeling like I was in a flow state. Getting to go head to head with @deweywrx all weekend was one of the best battles I’ve had in time attack in while! I’m already itching to go back here next year to go after that overall record! Next up, we’ve got Lime Rock park and although it’s not the Mercedes strongest track, it’s still one of my favorites!
