I am honored to present my installation “They Are Not Dead, But Alive” which tells the story of eight ZAKA volunteers and the Carasanti family from Kibbutz Be’eri alongside a mixed media series created in collaboration with @tomerperetzart as part of the exhibition “Art Will S8t You Free” at the Museum of Tolerance, Los Angeles.

Over the coming year, more than 90,000 youth; many of them non-Jewish will experience this exhibition, learning about October 7th and expressing their responses through creativity.

This is how we fight antisemitism: with truth, memory, and the power of art.

SCARS | My First Solo Exhibition | 2024
Photography, production, curatorship, graphics and marketing - Kalia Gisèle.

During my hospitalization, I felt alone in the experience of my pain and the suffering I went through.
I’ve always wondered where all the people with the scars are?
Where do I find them? I wanted to talk to someone who would understand, and I couldn’t find one.

A year ago, I felt that I was ready to channel the pain and trauma into art and reveal myself and my story in a way that would inspire other people who are dealing with scars.

Since then, I have photographed close to 70 inspiring people, men and women.
Some of them with physical scars which they showed for the first time to my camera lens, and some with mental scars: battle survivors, battered women and rape victims. These are such complex issues that, unfortunately, gained volume since October 7.

Those encounters brought with them healing.
From the first session-
I no longer felt alone. I felt hugged.
And this is what I wanted the people who enter the exhibition to experience,
Everyone with their own scar.
Embraced, that they are not alone, and more than that - that they have a place.

At the exhibition, I revealed myself for the first time along with 15 other people photographed from the project and alongside them a short film that my mother and I made 4 years ago in which we returned together to “Metsoke Dargot” the place of the accident.

When I imagined the first exhibition,
It was just like that
And for me there is no greater fulfillment and gift than that.
So Thank you
To all the people who took part in my journey and exhibition,
To all those photographed in the project -
Thank you for allowing me to enter with such love and faith.
Special thanks to my family and my mother, Ariane Littman. Her works have always been an example to me and the ones we created together are a huge part of my healing.

״חומות שקופות״ ניצבות בפעם השלישית והפעם מול בניין העירייה
אחרי שהוצגו בכנסת וברחבת תיאטרון ירושלים
הן עומדות מול מקבלי ההחלטות בלב המרחב הציבורי

מרגש אותי כל כך
לראות איך מפגשים אינטימיים בסטודיו הפכו ליצירה שעומדת בלב כיכר ציבורית

לפעמים
החומות שמפרידות בינינו הן לא אלה שאפשר לראות
ואני מאמינה בכוחה של האמנות ליצור סדק קטן בחומה הזאת

בחודש האחרון יצאתי למסע עם שמונה משפחות שבהן אחד מבני המשפחה נמצא על הקשת האוטיסטית. דיברנו על אהבה, על חולשות, על גאווה ושמחה, על פחדים, על דאגות ועל העתיד. פגשתי אהבה בכל כך הרבה צורות, אבל בעיקר פגשתי אנשים. לא אבחנות ולא הגדרות. אנשים עם עולמות שלמים בתוכם ומערכות יחסים שלא תמיד אפשר להבין מבחוץ.

בכל מפגש ניסיתי ליצור מרחב שבו אפשר פשוט להיות, בלי הצורך להסביר, להצטדק או להתאים את עצמך למבט של מישהו אחר. מתוך המפגשים האלה נולדו דיוקנאות, טקסטים אישיים והקלטות קוליות שבהן בני המשפחה מדברים זה אל זה, והקהל הופך לשותף לרגע בשיחה אינטימית שבין בני משפחה.

תודה לשמונה המשפחות שאפשרו לי להיכנס לעולמן. על האמון, על הפגיעות, על הכנות, על כל מה שבחרתם לשתף וגם על מה שנשאר בינינו. אני נושאת איתי הרבה יותר ממה שאפשר לראות בתצלומים.

לפני חצי שנה התחלנו מסע
מפגש אחרי מפגש
עם אנשים שחיים עם התמודדויות שקופות
ששיתפו איתי את מה שהם נושאים לבד במשך שנים

החומות
ניצבות עכשיו בלב הכנסת
והופכות משקופות לנראות
למוכרות
באופן רשמי
אולי בפעם הראשונה

אני מודה לכל אחד ואחת מהמתמודדים שפתחו בפניי את הלב שלהם
על האומץ, על החשיפה, על האמון ועל האהבה

תודה לכל מי שתמך, דחף, האמין, אפשר
והוביל איתנו את ההצבה ההיסטורית הזו.

זוהי גם תערוכת האמנות הנגישה הראשונה בישראל
שמאפשרת לכל אדם
לראות
לשמוע
ולהרגיש
לעיוורים, חירשים ובעלי מוגבלויות קוגניטיביות.

חומות שקופות |
רגע לפני המלחמה עם איראן, הספקנו להציב את המיצב הזה בירושלים.
עשרות אנשים עצרו, הקשיבו, התרגשו, התחברו.
הוא דיבר בעוצמה על מה שלא רואים- על ההתמודדויות השקופות, הפנימיות, שמתחוללות בתוך אנשים בכל מקום.
לא ידענו עד כמה זה יהפוך לרלוונטי כל כך מהר, כל כך חזק.

מאז המלחמה, מוקדי הסיוע לבריאות הנפש מדווחים על עלייה של 900% בפניות בעקבות חרדה, סטרס ומשבר.
המספרים מספרים רק חלק. את השאר רואים בעיניים.
בשתיקה. בהיעדר. בתשישות.

המיצב עמד רק שבעה ימים, וכמו הרבה דברים – נפגע ופורק.
אבל אנחנו לא עוצרים.
אנחנו מתכוונים להציב אותו שוב. בעוד ערים. בעוד קולות. בעוד לבבות.
להמשיך ולהילחם על המודעות לבריאות הנפש.
כי יותר מעכשיו, יותר מכל זמן אחר, חשוב שנלמד לראות. להקשיב. להכיל.

תודה לכל מי שהשתתף, יצר, תרם, שיתף, עבר דרך.
ולמי שרק חלף ליד ופתאום עצר.

חומות שקופות | 2025
במרחב הציבורי אנחנו פוגשים אינספור פנים – שכנים, קולגות, עוברי אורח.
לרוב הכל נראה רגיל. אבל מאחורי המבט, מתחת לפני השטח, מסתתרים מאבקים שקטים: חרדה, פוסט-טראומה, דיכאון, כאב כרוני, סכיזופרניה, שונות נוירולוגית… חומות שקופות שניצבות בינם לבין החברה.

בחודש האחרון יצאתי למסע. הכרתי עשרה א.נשים אמיצים, נשים וגברים שמתמודדים עם אתגרים נפשיים שלא נראים לעין.
נפגשנו, שוחחנו, הקשבנו זה לזה.
תיעדתי אותם בסצנות יומיומיות – בחנות פרחים, ברכבת, בפארק, בבית מרקחת, כדי להמחיש את הפער בין מה שנראה לעין לבין מה שמתחולל בפנים.

יחד עם שני המעצבים מיכל הרכבי ועלי בן אריה יצרנו מיצב מעגלי עם רבדים שונים של שקיפות. טשטשנו את הגבולות בין המצולמים לבין המבקרים – ממש כמו שהגבולות מיטשטשים אצל המתמודדים עצמם, שנעים בין חשיפה להסתתרות בכל אינטראקציה יומיומית.

התצלומים מודפסים על בד חצי שקוף ויוצרים משחק עדין של חשיפה והסתרה. ליד כל צילום, מופיע טקסט אישי שנכתב על ידי המצולמים וברקוד לסריקה שמוביל ליצירה קולית שיצרנו יחד, כל אחד ואחת מהם והעולם הפנימי שלו.

בין כל אלה- חלון זכוכית שיצרה מאיה דרנל, שהופך מאטום לשקוף רק כששני אנשים עומדים זה מול זה, משני צדדיו.
מעכירות – לבהירות. ממחסום – למפגש.

המיצב מאפשר הזדמנות להסתכל מחדש, להקשיב אחרת, להרחיב לב.
אני מודה לכל אחת ואחד מהמשתתפים שנתנו לי להיכנס פנימה, לחוות וליצור איתם. זו הייתה זכות גדולה.

״חומות שקופות” הוצג ברחבת התיאטרון בירושלים – מרחב פתוח, שדרכו אני חולמת על מרחב ציבורי אחר. כזה שרואה.

Welcome Film for @candeshoes Los Angeles
75 years of a family business.

I had the privilege of creating a new visual world for C&E - from creative direction, photography and film to the social & content strategy.

What started as a creative collaboration became something much more personal along the way. Somewhere between the shoot days, conversations, stories and all the moments in between, I found myself becoming a little part of this family too.

I grew up between countries, languages and different versions of myself. This home holds versions of the girl I’ve been, and of the woman I’m becoming. It’s like meeting my inner child again and again, in every corner, every memory, and every season with a deeper sense of understanding and gratitude.
