i can’t be the only one who feels this way sometimes. kinda crazy to go from 1k+ likes and views to…. less than 20. but i’m still here, party of one, creating for the sake of creating. at least i know it’ll never stop being fun for me. the writing process is slow, intentional, and meticulous, at least for me. and i don’t mind that, the journey is in the piece anyway. ✍🏻👩🏻‍💻 by @kalianewrites

✨ another friendly reminder! ✨

last month, i only grew my followers by 30. in comparison to some accounts on here, that can feel really discouraging and depressing sometimes.

then i get a grip and remind myself that 30 is still kind of a lot and if that many people suddenly showed up in my bedroom demanding to read my diary, i’d be pretty overwhelmed.

any growth is better than no growth. connecting with anyone on here is better than reaching no one. making new friends and finding new collaborators, no matter how few, is better than being on content island, party of one.

go easy on yourselves, keep going, and keep being a social media butterfly. you’ve always got me in your corner rooting you on. 🫶🏻✨

a bookmark lives a million tiny lives ✨📚

this poem came to me after completing an exercise in my creative writing coursebook, which was to pick an item in front of me and imagine a day in the life of that object. it was very easy for me to take the leap and imagine EVERY life a bookmark has lived.

this year, it was really important to me to keep learning more about my craft, picking up new tools/techniques, and understanding more about the way i see myself in my writing. (this is NOT an ad, full transparency)

being a student of this book has helped me in a multitude of ways and i can’t wait to keep challenging myself as the exercises get more and more complex. ✨

what are some things you guys do to improve your skills? has anything REALLY worked for you lately?

can you tell how much I love my #sassysaints nail wraps!?! ✨💅🏻

so quick and easy to do my nails before a busy day at work followed a long night of working on my manuscript. Salon quality without having to leave my apartment or take time away from writing and working. 🥰

and the best part is… you can use my code HIWRITE10 to get a discount to try them out yourself! #sassysaints #sassy_saints #wfhroutine #nailcare by @kalianewrites
