Personally… I don’t think the biggest risk today is failure.

I think it’s sitting on the sidelines while the world changes around you.

When I started nearly 9 years ago, none of the tools we have today existed.

No TikTok.

No Reels.

No AI.

No Meta Shop.

No creator economy.

Today, people are building brands, businesses, communities, and entire careers from their phones.

One of the biggest misconceptions about this industry is that it’s only for a certain type of person.

The truth?

Most of the women I’ve seen succeed weren’t sales experts, influencers, business owners, or people with huge followings.

They were moms looking for flexibility.

Women wanting an additional income stream.

People willing to learn new skills.

Women who felt like they had more potential than they were currently using.

Almost 9 years ago, I was one of them.

When I joined, I thought I was saying yes to hair products.

I had no idea I was saying yes to a completely different life.

A life where I could buy a house at 25.

Earn nearly $1.3 million before 30.

Travel the world.

Work from my phone.

Stay home with my son.

Build a career around my life instead of building my life around my career.

And the crazy part?

If you asked me what I’m most grateful for, none of those things would be my answer.

It’s the person I became along the way.

The confidence.
The leadership.
The resilience.
The ability to bet on myself.

Almost 9 years later, that’s what keeps me here.

I spent years wishing my hair looked different.

Growing up, I got bullied for it. It was one of my biggest insecurities, and I never imagined that one day people would accuse me of wearing extensions.

Always reminded how incredible this company is when they come out with new products or new bonuses or incentives.

Almost 9 years later and I’m truly still just as happy.

But probably even happier because I’m a stay at home mom and being able to stay home with my son for over two years knowing that a lot of moms and parents have to put their kids in daycare, is just such a blessing. I loved this job before, but I’m so extra grateful now.

Every day I watch my son playing, and I just stare at him in disbelief because I’m like… I would not have this opportunity right here right now if I hadn’t said yes to monat. And it really is that deep.
