In the span of just a mere week leading up to today has been so much, I’ve had a friend commit suicide, found out about too many old friends being strung out on drugs, old friend of mine just got arrested, Eye let myself get finessed out of a hundred dollars, and Eye myself at times find myself inadequately balancing a social life Eye am slowly but surely fading from and into a solitude of bliss. Day by day Eye do find myself very intolerable to things such as stupidity, dishonesty, infidelity, confusion, complaints, and general bullshit and find myself only wanting to tolerate love and things thereof that radiate from it. Eye thought Eye liked people Eye really don’t, mostly everybody does their best at getting on my last nerve at some point besides literally 3 people and Eye refuse to name them here but they probably know who they are. Eye overall feel like a more refined and less sporadic version of my 15 year old self when Eye was first knocked on the head and corrected onto the path of becoming the God Eye am and will be. Eye have no time for arguing with people. Sincerely Eye am here to showcase what it is to be GOD, to be BLACK, to be MAN. This is real this is me, this is… 30. taken in North Huntsville by @kalmikamil

Running round in “the house that Picasso built” with @vedasatura To try to put into words this experience would do it a disservice but some things to note. WOW the OG impressionist and expressionist were doing it BIG… never really understood how unbelievably gargantuan some of the works of Monet & Picasso are in person. Lastly something I think we all take for granted is the power of design and seeing how we are being defrauded from it. We take for granted the sense of pride and fulfillment it gives us to live in an environment manifested and shaped by the creativity of its community rather than from and for their capital. It’s almost as if we need a rebirth of the Neoclassical, Medieval, Ancient and even prehistoric art styles in order to bring some vibrance back into this dull and colorless world. taken in MoMA The Museum of Modern Art by @kalmikamil

Bittersweet to finish this one but I’m extremely satisfied with the turn out. WOW I loved every moment of this. About 19 hours put into this one. Already knowing where to fix my mistakes for the next in the series I’m going to be doing for my family. Grateful for this experience, grateful to show that you literally can do much more than what you think you are limited to do. It starts with showing up. Bless. taken in North Huntsville by @kalmikamil

This is like 2-3 years ahead of schedule…. Nothing like challenging myself. I’m due for about 7 of these so might as well start now. These will be like Da Vinci‘s Mona Lisa to me. taken in North Huntsville by @kalmikamil

Exploring new places. Came across this gallery while searching for new galleries to explore and potentially apprentice. Met the gallery owner the wonderful Mrs. Lori Tatum (her work is featured in the reel) and she gave me so much insight, tips, and put me onto more of the local art scene in Huntsville. Hope to make a workshop soon and possibly get into a gallery featuring soon. taken in Flourish Fine Art by @kalmikamil

First time painting a scene with no guide or instructions. The picture I took of the sky was extremely pretty this morning and I thought to myself.. “I think I want to paint that…. I’m going to paint that.” It’s not fully what I envisioned but giviing my skill level and this being my 5th ever painting I’m not going to beat myself up too much. I’m figuring out blocking out the big things will do wonders and then figuring out separating the details by layers or even shading. Color theory is still a very hard concept to grab, to understand every value has a compliment and a contrast and the role they play in directing light and shadows in a 2D space representing something 3D is NOT an easy concept to grasp. That’s the beauty of art there’s so much to learn so much to try. taken in North Huntsville by @kalmikamil
