tried my hand at making a dirt/grass tileset for a sidescroller platformer game! ☁️☀️

i was originally going to do more rigid, pixelated text but ended up just writing it with the circle brush instead and i think it's cute so i'm keeping it 🙂‍↕️

next up on my tileset missions is to make a tileset that's not using symmetry (gulp)...but i'll get to that in time lol

some paila expressions i mocked up after i finished the last piece! 🍳

i imagine these would be accompanied with a dialogue box in an actual game, and thought it'd be fun to work on some chibi-esque head icons :P

+ a looping video in the second slide, for some reason the confused expression keeps cutting off but i'm not sure how to fix it 💔

my first pixel art piece I'd done since 2023 of an original character, Paila! 🌊☀️

i finished this around the end of june, and was my intro back into pixel art since my solo endless runner project for my games design course :)
this is a 64x64 mock-up of what my character could look like in a pixel art sidescroller game (zoomed-in) when standing idle 💛

a mysterious fruit stall in the middle of a forest - would you take one? 🍎🍐🍌🍑🍊🍒

a bundle of 16x16 fruits i made!
originally was just a transparent background but then I thought it'd be cute to have them sat over some grass...and maybe with a fruit stall...and maybe in a forest...and this is the result of it LOL I'm quite happy with them! ^^

+ the fruits with a simpler background in the second slide since they're partly covered in the first one by grass
