A project I worked on back in November 2019, looking at food accessibility in Philadelphia. Food insecurity is an issue still impacting many households throughout the city today. @feedingamerica released a study in 2022 highlighting the crisis and the impact it is having on families. As the price of living continues to increase and government assistance falls short, what are the statistics looking like now? @sharefoodphilly @aljazeeraenglish @bbcnews @natgeotravel @nikonusa @canonusa @sony @vicenews @nytimes

December 10,2023: March to the mansion
The question is no longer when we are going to see change but when are we going to accept that corruption, capitalism, racism, and colonialization is so deeply intertwined into how this world functions. All we can do as conscience humans is continue to uplift the voices of those who are speaking out against the atrocities echoed throughout history. As trailblazers of liberation we must not loose the drive to at least leave this world a little better than we found it.
From the river to the sea… Palestine will be free!

With the current pause on the genocide in Gaza let us not forget that there is still work to be done. Not just for the people of Palestine but those in Sudan, Congo, Haiti, the Philippines & in the city of Philadelphia.

Photos from my latest Facebook Market purchase a Nikon D80, the last camera made with a CCD sensor that gives a film aesthetic for a DSLR. I’m still getting familiar with the settings, so we’ll see how I progress over time 📸 by @kalyncarmen

The Big Boy No. 4014 was big news here in NY. @theturngolfsim in Owego was packed with people from all over the east coast to see the massive locomotive machine in action.
I got to talk to some lovely people yesterday about their interest in the Big Boy and how far they traveled to see it 🚂
For all my folks back in Philly the Big Boy will be headed to the City of Brotherly Love for July 4th! by @kalyncarmen

Life lately: Sharing space with kindhearted individuals, being a listening ear, daily strolls, morning coffee and a Spectrum outage.
