🏁 Tegiwa Scholarship 2026 , What an Experience!

What incredible opportunity to take part in the Tegiwa Scholarship, and what a fantastic event it was! Exceptionally well organised, with a brilliant atmosphere and an amazing group of people all sharing the same passion for motorsport.

Reflecting on my own performance, I know there was more to give.

The first driving assessment felt strong. Feel I settled into the car quickly, found a good rhythm and felt confident in what I was able to deliver in the time given.

The second assessment was a different story. I didn’t quite find that same connection with the car as quickly, and came away knowing I had a lot more performance to offer. Frustrating, certainly, but all part of the learning process!

The media assessment presented its own challenges, although overall I felt fairly positive about how I approached it.

Then came the fitness assessment! With the ongoing hip injuries I manage, I knew this would be a heavily demanding part of the day. Nevertheless, I gave it absolutely everything I had and walked away feeling proud of the effort I’d put in. 💪

Ultimately, it wasn’t quite the result I was looking for personally, and naturally there’s some disappointment. But!, opportunities like these are about far more than just the final result.

Meeting so many talented, driven and like-minded individuals, all working towards similar ambitions, is genuinely inspiring. The standard of competition and the passion everyone brought to the event made it an experience I’ll remember for a long time.

A huge thank you to @tegiwa @racinghondas and everyone involved in making the event such a success. Also, it was a pleasure sharing the experience with you all!

And to round off an already memorable couple days, we even managed a little detour past the Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 campus on the journey home! 🏎️

Plenty of lessons learned, some fantastic people met and even more motivation to keep pushing forward. 🏁
