@vilniuschallenge is not just adventure racing, it’s an adventure that stays with you for the long time!
It’s our yearly tradition with @karolis.urbelionis to catch up, even though there is not so much energy to speak during the course 😜
This year it was the easiest race comparing to any other years, none of us bonked at any point 😅 it’s a pity you can notice the race budget cut as there were only running, cycling and rope activities.. but still it was FUN!!
Already looking forward to next year! 💃🏼

#Velopeak500 – now I get the fuss about this experience 🚴‍♀️💥

Signing up with just 350km on the books this year and zero races in 5 years? Probably not the smartest idea. But hey – where’s the fun in playing it safe?

I’ve started with an attitude I’d “just participate”… but the evening had other plans. From the first meters, it was all in — full gas, emotional rollercoasters, and more than a few mental talks. Something @kruulis told me a few days before worked as a mantra that helped to stay motivated. “You are a universal terminator” - can’t agree this is not true 😂

Crossing the finish line felt like salvation — my back was screaming, legs shaking — but zero regrets. This past week of prep reminded me exactly why I love sport. The pain, the push, the pride.

Results? I’m just proud of myself to land somewhere in the middle and already looking for the new adventures 🤷🏼‍♀️ #nestabdom

Four years ago, @kruulis and I were cycling through the Dolomites (I was six months pregnant 🤰🏼), dreaming about what it would be like to one day return to the mountains with the little one, our parents, a couple of bikes to share, and a spirit full of adventure. 🏔️🚵🏼‍♀️⁣

Back then, it felt like a sweet, far-off dream.⁣

But here we are — hiking, climbing, laughing, riding, exploring. Calling it our annual family tradition. 🚙❤️⁣

It’s not exactly how we pictured it… it’s better. ⁣

Grateful beyond words for this wild, wonderful, slightly crazy crew I get to call family.

In the mountains you should always be ready for unexpected 💡
One moment you are taking family pictures at the breathtaking scenery and the other you are stuck on the top station of the cable car because of the storm ⛈️
Luckily we were ready with additional clothes & food 🙏🏻 Even though we were going for a short hike, we took extra stuff just in case and in the future I will definitely better care extra weight and will be prepared for unforeseen circumstances 🏔️

This time enjoying the views until the last lift down gave us additional 2 hours of adventures and going down in the dark with all the mountains crew…
