We are Team Kamila @kamila_ here at Windy Pop Weekender! Nectar played WPW 2025, and we're so glad to welcome Kamila's newest project, Blue Clovers! Fun fact: newest member Juli Sherry runs @pretzlerecords focused on Chambana bands, is in a million bands herself, and is our graphic designer. Catch them on Sunday; they're gonna knock your socks off! Tix in B I O ! 🫶🏼

Blue Clovers are a new indie-pop band featuring Kamila Glowacki, Joe Tucci and Juli Sherry. Coming out of the central Illinois DIY music scene (Nectar/Macroplastics/Snack’d Out) their sound blends catchy vocal harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and upbeat, jangly guitar, bass and drums. taken in Subterranean by @kamila_

My sweet Addy passed away last Thursday, 9/18/25, at 11 years old. She was my best friend and companion through life. Her health started to decline over the past few years, and I was devoted to doing all that I could for her as we navigated multiple chronic illnesses together. I feel deeply grateful to have been her caretaker and to have connected with her on such an intuitive level. She took care of me too. It was the biggest gift to be the recipient of her unconditional love. I love her so much, forever.

She was so special. She exuded love and connected with everyone she met. She loved being held and was always close by. She was clumsy, joyful, gentle, and trusting. She loved exploring the basement and outdoors, eating grass, attacking the ponytail palm leaves, flopping and rolling around, being carried, being brushed, playing with her pink rubber band, grooming her sister Marnie, looking out the window, watching tv, and being wherever her loved ones were.

I am so grateful to Aaron and to Mark for being her caretakers in life as well. Addy passed away on the evening of the final Kowabunga! Kid show in Champaign, and we were all able to be with her before she died. Performing that night, playing songs about loss and endings was painful but cathartic. Music has always taken care of me in this way.

Thank you so much to my family and friends, especially my sister Veronica, who have cared for and loved Addy and have been my support to lean on. I’m so grateful.

Mark, Marnie, and I have been holding tight to each other and are supporting each other in love and grief. I love them both so much and we are carrying Addy with us every day. 🩵 by @kamila_

The Rest Lab exhibition reception is tonight (11/14) at @kamillinois from 5-7pm!

We are very excited to give visitors a chance to try out the ‘Squeeze Chair’ in the gallery, as well as enjoy music, cupcakes, and an art activity where you can design and create your own fidget tool.

🔵 About the Squeeze Chair:
‘Squeeze Chair’ (1997) uses a foot pump to inflate its large arms, which move inward and apply even pressure to create a hug or squeeze. The effects of this type of deep pressure can help calm the nervous system, promote relaxation, and ease overstimulation. The ‘Squeeze Chair’ was created through conversations between artist Wendy Jacob and Temple Grandin, a well-known animal scientist and engineer whose own experience with autism generated work focused on reducing stress in both humans and animals. by @kamila_

The sixth iteration of Rest Lab is now on display at @kamillinois 💙 It has been an absolute joy to grow this beloved project with @ishitadharap into a sensory-friendly and neurodiversity-affirming exhibition at Krannert Art Museum.

Rest Lab is an invitation to rest and reconnect with your body. Museums are not welcoming or comfortable spaces for everyone — how can we experience art in a way that better supports our bodies?

Come visit! The Rest Lab exhibition reception is this Thursday, November 14 from 5 to 7 pm and will feature @plant_mode DJing from vinyl, cupcakes, art making activities, and the special opportunity to try out Wendy Jacob’s “Squeeze Chair” in the gallery. The exhibition will be up through December 14th.

Thank you to @finneganshann0n and @crip_asterisk for helping to inspire this work. Thank you to my wonderful partner @attackofthemark for creating a beautiful video of the Squeeze Chair for the exhibition. Thank you to authors and contributors in Rest Lab’s Reading Nook, featuring @bed_zine @drdevonprice and many more. Thank you to the @kamillinois staff for supporting this project. And thank you to @ishitadharap for being my creative partner in all of this! Couldn’t have done it with anyone else. 💙 by @kamila_
