15 insights by 30 - what I’ve learned so faršŸ«°šŸ»

1. I’m learning that my main value is growth, and the second is people. Most of my changes happened through the people I met.

2. Curiosity helps staying ā€œyoungā€ and it grows like a muscle. When I keep diving into what interests me — asking questions, exploring — I feel more alive.

3. Before being a great friend to others, it’s best to be a good friend to myself.

4. I’ve read so much about productivity, but the real secret is simple: just start for 15 minutes. That’s when flow begins.

5. I used to avoid pain - espacially being a source of pain to others. Now I see that sometimes it helps to grow — it shakes us up and moves us forward.

6. This year I felt real freedom for the first time in a while — doing things because I want to, not because I ā€œshouldā€ or because it is prestigious.

7. The more risk I take, the more help and support I get!

8. I am absolutely not afraid of new places. Wherever I go, I end up finding friends. And I know it will be the case in the future.

9. When I feel powerless, I now try to pause instead of pushing harder. Often that’s when clarity comes.

10. I believe in small miracles — often coincidences, signs, or people showing up at the right time are pharos highlighting the next steps.

11. I used to rely exclusively on my brain. But I’ve noticed that intuition is usually right. If something feels wrong, it probably is.

12. I used to think that rest is for loosers. But I’ve learned that my brain works better after rest. Sports, weekends, and real breaks give me more ideas than long nights.

13. For me self-knowledge and self-shaping never ends. Every year shows me a new version of myself.

14. I’m trying to love without holding on too tightly — to let people be free. And I am absolutely in peace with some people leaving and new people coming to my life.

15. Everything is always for the best. Sometimes it is clear up front, sometimes you get it later - but it’s always the case!

Grateful, happy, and ready for the next decade ā¤ļø

Stepping into my new year šŸŽ‰

Looking back, I can’t believe how much fit into these twelve months.

I started this year in a pretty low place, with little faith in myself. And I’m ending it having found that faith and traction again. That’s probably the most important thing that happened to me, because everything else grew from there. In the end, I started taking action in the directions that truly excite me.

I went to my first AI hackathon, then another, and sometimes I even won. I built a bunch of features, big and small šŸ¤“ I started a blog. I did let it slide, but the ability to write, film and share stayed with me, and now I’m curious where I’ll decide to take it.

This was my busiest period ever as a freelancer in France, and for the first time in a long while, I can see my efforts turning into results.

There was so much sport. Beyond regular exercises, like so many people, I started playing padel. 🤪 And started paying attention to my health and, more importantly, actually doing something about it.

And I saw so much. I flew to Lisbon for Web Summit, deciding just a week before. I saw Mont-Saint-Michel, which had been a dream of mine for years. I breathed mountain air on skis and to the sound of music. For the first time after years of half-closed borders, I got to see my parents in Europe. I escaped the heat by running off to Lille, buying a ticket the day before and just going: the most spontaneous decision of my life. There were Dubai and Russia. There were Lady Gaga, Bi-2 and Meladze, and we sang along with the whole crowd. There were the magical worlds of Slava Polunin.

And I officially became French. And, I think, a bit of a citizen of the world!

But more than any place or event, I’m grateful for the people. All year long, I was surrounded by people who supported me, believed in me, and valued me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. I truly feel like the richest person alive, because I have you.

Thank you to everyone who shaped me, and to everyone who was simply there. I’m stepping into my new year with gratitude ā¤ļø

Vienna is a city where it’s easy to put your mind in order.

Some thoughts and impressions:

The urban environment and architecture naturally support both focused work and focused rest. Silence here is the norm — streets just outside the center are incredibly calm. And yet on weekends, the city center can turn into a rave, which doesn’t feel like a contrast but rather a continuation of the same life.

The Vienna State Opera. I’ve been to operas in Moscow and Paris, but this was the first time it truly clicked. For the first time, I found myself following and feeling the story instead of trying to decipher what the singers were saying.

Museums. Vienna is rich with amazing ones! And for me, going to a museum is about gaining insights into human nature, psychology, and recurring historical patterns that still apply today. It’s also about finding inspiration in beauty. I’m always curious about people’s biographies and what exactly became the turning point in their success.

For instance, I don’t know if you’ve read Viktor Frankl’s book about his experience in a concentration camp, ā€œMan’s Search for Meaning,ā€ but he was from Vienna—and the first museum we visited was dedicated to him. His story shows that meaning is not an abstraction, but a practical tool for survival.

All in all Vienna feels like a deeply intelligent city. There is a sense of dignity, without unnecessary arrogance or pretension. I wish more places felt like Vienna šŸ™‚ Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien taken in Vienna, Austria by @kamilagim

2016->2026 trend provoked a self-reflection session.

At 20, I was:

šŸ“š Running Economic and Business negotaion battles at Negotiation Club at MGIMO (my university) — concept, curriculum, partnerships, promotion.

šŸŽ¤ Developing a Tatar cultural club — bringing influential Tatar speakers to campus, organizing events
Tatar - an ethnic group I belong to, we have our language, traditions and holidays.

šŸ’¼ Landing my first-ever internship at the funding resource office in Innopolis — an innovation cluster near Kazan (my home-city in Russia)

🪩 Going clubbing... or pretending to. Because being ā€œcoolā€ felt so important back then šŸ˜…

On the one hand I was scattered. Doing too much. Unfocused.

But every single thing I did in 2016 became a skill I use today, like event management, public speaking, community building, networking and yes, small talk in loud places šŸ’€

For me 2025 was about about showing up and being consistent.

Here is my year in numbers.

- 2 clients who trusted me
- 7 bootcamp streams shaping future PMs
~60 events where I chose connection over comfort
- 3 conferences that challenged my thinking and inspired me through keynotes and, mostly, people

But here’s what is what also matters:
- 8 trips that reminded me one of the reasons why I do all this
- 35 therapy sessions (growth isn’t just professional)
~50 workouts with a coach (because burnout isn’t a badge of honor)
- 8 exhibitions (creativity fuels strategy)
- 3 birthday celebrations (while initially I didn’t even want to celebrate)

One more irony? 3 posts all year, then 30 reels in November and December.

Sometimes we (and when I say Ā« we Ā», I mean Ā« I Ā») overthink. And we just need to start.

Loved going throught the photos and my calendar to realize all these numbers.

This was the year I:

Started freelancing in France—2 clients, 3 products, completely overwhelmed at first.

Committed to sport after another knee injury. Changed gyms. Best decision I made. My body, skin, confidence—everything became better.

Asked myself the hard questions. Still asking, so WIP :)

Connected with old friends across Europe and found new ones who filled my soul.

Traveled. Reflected. Grew.

Now I can say that it was a very transformative year.

Grateful and looking forward for 2026!

Went to @subjektivspace art fair as my friend’s +1 last week (very grateful for this experience both to her and the gallery founder!)

I know almost nothing about modern art but never skip a gallery visit (because why not)!

I ended up spending the whole time making up interpretations and my friend was actually buying it??

Like there was this mirror framed by a tiger’s mouth. I just looked at it and said: Ā«When you see yourself in this mirror, you’re adopting the tiger’s aggression. You claim that energy when you need it to achieve your goals. That’s especially relevant in our modern society that bans agression.Ā»

My friend just stared at me like I was some art philosopher.

Bro I literally made that up on the spot šŸ˜†

But then I realized—oh, this is literally practice for selling stuff.

When everyone can make content/products/whatever in 5 seconds now (that’s not the case for art of course, I al simplifying), the real skill is making people care about it. Making them see the meaning. Creating the story that makes it matter.

It’s kind of wild but art galleries are perfect for sales training.

Also funny because art is SO different from my usual tech/digital world. I like clear data and logic. Art is... not that. Pure vibes and emotions.

Maybe that’s why I keep going—my brain needs a break from spreadsheets and features to make my personality more balanced.

Or I just like pretending I’m cultured idk šŸ˜…

So if you’ve got free time this week, maybe hit up a gallery? Even if you know nothing about art. Especially if you know nothing—that’s when you practice making meaning out of thin air?

I’ve been coming to teach at a product bootcamp 1–2 times a month for two years now — and every time it feels like a snapshot of where we are with AI adoption in our field.

Of course I use AI myself, but I treat it as a tool, an assistant — not a replacement.
What fascinates me is how many people now learn an entire profession through AI, without first building much of the skill themselves.

I think it works — as long as they understand what they’re doing.

What do you think?
