If you’ve ever competed in a pageant before you know it takes a village, well here just a small piece of my village. One of is my sister in law @kyluuuhh_ who was Miss Hawaii Collegiate 2015, and she is the reason I got involved with pageants. Happy International Pageant Day ✨Thank you to @misshighschoolamericaorg and Miss @amanda_patterson210 for creating such an amazing pageant that truly helped me fall in love with pageantry all over again. Created bonds, friendships, and a sisterhood like no other. @misssienagrace and @mailejoley and we created a bond filled with endless memories that I’ll always cherish. To my littles of the @misshawaiihighschoolamericaorg you will always have my heart. Thank you to @makennakathleen and @misstxhighschoolamericaorg for helping me surprise our @carlyokay @misscollegiateamerica and @cheychey_429 at your state pageant it was well worth the wait and their faces were priceless. It’s Pageant Day 1 for @misstxhighschoolamericaorg , let the festivities begin ✨From reuniting with @makennakathleen , @hannahnavarra , and Mama @susannoella to meeting the rest of the Miss Texas Elementary and Miss Texas JHC staff, setting up for orientation, and preparing for pageant weekend the entire weekend was filled with endless laughter. Sitting in on mock interviews from Pre-K to Collegiate, offering positive feedback and last-minute input, made every moment so special. Before wrapping up the night, I even got to surprise my girl @the_raylan_holmes and her mom, I’m so glad I had my camera on. 🤭If you know me, you know I couldn’t come all the way from Hawai’i empty-handed. “True confidence isn’t about fitting in, it’s about standing boldly in who you are.” ✨❤️Going into Miss Collegiate America last year, I knew in my heart that I wanted to enter every phase of competition wearing something made by a local designer. It was my way of carrying a little piece of home with me bringing Hawai‘i onto that stage with every outfit and through every stitch.Living in Hawai‘i, we don’t have pageant stores nearby, and traveling to find gowns can be incredibly expensive. Instead, I chose to celebrate the amazing talent within our islands and showcase the beauty of local design on a national stage. Wearing their work meant more than just wearing a gown, it meant wearing a little piece of home. Words cannot express how thankful and grateful I am for my incredible designer, friend, and mentor, @rachelafrederick of @rachelfrederick.atelier . Rachel, this creation is truly a work of art. As I take my final walk tonight, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for this journey and for the incredible people who have walked alongside me. Wearing this crown was never about the sparkles or the spotlight; it has always been about service, sisterhood, and the opportunity to make a difference.Through this title, I’ve had the honor of sharing my platform, Authentically Aloha in tying that national platform Brave. Reminding others that true beauty lies in being genuine, kind, and rooted in who you are. I’ve seen young girls believe in themselves a little more, I’ve built friendships that feel like family, and I’ve grown into a woman who leads with both confidence and compassion.To Miss Amanda thank you for everything you do to make Miss High School America one of the most amazing pageant experiences I’ve ever had the privilege to be a part of. And to all of our incredible national sponsors, thank you for your unwavering support to this amazing system.To my director, Mama Kristi thank you for being our guiding light. From mock interviews to late night pep talks, your love and dedication have meant the world. And to our generous state sponsors, your support has not gone unnoticed.To all my sister queens: I wouldn’t have wanted to walk this path with anyone else. Maile and Siena, you made this reign one I will never forget.
